Abstract
Along with the development of technology and applications, there has been a significant increase in the growth of data traffic on the network. User demand to access operational web-based applications in the network is getting higher, posing challenges related to optimal performance and fair distribution on Quality of Service (QoS). One of the proposed approaches is the implementation of a combination of Hierchical Tocken Bucket (HTB) bandwidth management algorithm and Per Connection Queue (PCQ) queue management solution using MikroTik devices. These methods are applied to ensure an even distribution of bandwidth among users and services, as well as to analyze changes in QoS parameters such as throughput (download and upload), delay, jitter, and packet loss before and after implementation. This study found that the implementation of HTB and PCQ was able to optimize bandwidth usage, provide fairer allocation, and significantly improve QoS parameters. These results show that both methods can be an effective solution for bandwidth management problems and network performance improvement in the operational environment of PT XYZ. Keywords: Hierarchical Token Bucket (HTB), Per Connection Queue (PCQ), Quality of Service (QoS) Seiring dengan perkembangan teknologi dan aplikasi, terjadi peningkatan signifikan dalam pertumbuhan lalu lintas data dalam jaringan. Permintaan pengguna untuk mengakses aplikasi berbasis web operasional dalam jaringan semakin tinggi, memunculkan tantangan terkait kinerja optimal dan distribusi yang adil pada kualitas layanan (QoS). Salah satu pendekatan yang diusulkan adalah penerapan kombinasi algoritma manajemen bandwidth Hierchical Tocken Bucket (HTB) dan solusi manajemen antrian per koneksi Per Connection Queue (PCQ) menggunakan perangkat MikroTik. Metode ini diterapkan untuk memastikan distribusi bandwidth yang merata di antara pengguna dan layanan, serta untuk menganalisis perubahan pada parameter QoS seperti throughput (download dan upload), delay, jitter, dan packet loss sebelum dan sesudah implementasi. Studi ini menemukan bahwa penerapan HTB dan PCQ mampu mengoptimalkan penggunaan bandwidth, memberikan alokasi yang lebih adil, dan meningkatkan parameter QoS secara signifikan. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa kedua metode tersebut dapat menjadi solusi efektif untuk permasalahan manajemen bandwidth dan peningkatan performa jaringan di lingkungan operasional PT. XYZ.
