Abstract

The cases of sexual violence and bullying committed by minors against minors are deeply concerning. These incidents make parents more vigilant of their children's negative behaviors, especially considering how easily accessible information is through the internet. In light of these cases, this research aims to analyze the urgency of parental and child interpersonal communication through bonding time to prevent negative behaviors. It also seeks to explore the factors hindering parental and child interpersonal communication through bonding time to avoid negative behaviors in children. This study is reinforced by attachment theory by John Bowlby and utilizes the concept of interpersonal communication by De Vitto. It is a qualitative, descriptive study using a case study method. For data collection, interviews were conducted with five working mothers with children aged 0-12 years in South Jakarta. Data analysis in this research employs the Miles and Huberman model. The findings of this research suggest that interpersonal communication through bonding time can foster openness, empathy, supportiveness, positiveness, and equality. It is also found that bonding time can influence a child's emotional, cognitive, and psychological development. Parents play a crucial role in shaping their children's positive character, teaching them manners, and instilling respect for others. These character traits are developed from an early age, minimizing negative behaviors in the future, despite obstacles such as parental work commitments outside the home. Keywords: Interpersonal Communication, bonding time, negative behavior of children Kasus kekerasan seksual dan bullying yang dilakukan anak di bawah umur, terhadap anak di bawah umur juga menjadi hal yang sangat memprihatinkan. Peristiwa ini menjadikan orang tua akan lebih waspada dengan perilaku – perilaku negatif anak , apalagi dengan mudahnya mengakses apapun yang mereka ingin ketahui melalui internet. Dengan adanya kasus ini, maka penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis Urgensi komunikasi interpersonal orang tua dan anak melalui bonding time untuk mencegah perilaku negatif, dan untuk menganalisis faktor - faktor penghambat komunikasi interpersonal orang tua dan anak melalui bonding time untuk mencegah perilaku negatif anak. Dalam penelitian ini dikuat kan dengan teori pertalian oleh John Bowlby dan menggunakan konsep komunikasi interpersonal dari De Vitto. Jenis penelitian ini kualitatif bersifat deskriptif dengan menggunakan metode studi kasus. Untuk teknik pengumpulan data, melakukan wawancara terhadap lima orang ibu pekerja yang memiliki anak berusia 0-12 tahun, di Jakarta Selatan. Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik analisis data model Miles and Hubermen. Hasil dari penelitian ini bahwa komunikasi Interpersonal melalui bonding time mampu menciptakan keterbukaan, empati, saling mendukung, berpikir positif dan kesetaraan. Dari temuan ini juga, bahwa bonding time bisa memengaruhi perkembangan anak secara emosi, pikiran dan juga psikologi. Orang tua memiliki peran penting, untuk menciptakan karakter anak yang positif seperti, memahami sopan santun dan bisa menghargai orang lain. Karakter tersebut sudah dibangun sejak usia dini atau diusia emas anak, sehingga bisa meminimalisir perilaku negatif anak dimasa yang akan datang, walaupun ada berbagai hambatan seperti kesibukan – kesibukan dalam pekerjaan orang tua di luar rumah.
