Abstract

Furniture is a household item that has high artistic value, furniture can be made from various types of wood combined with other items and there is even some furniture made from wood waste. The use of wood waste material at this time has begun to be widely used in the furniture industry, this is a process in minimizing wood that is expensive. Many of the wood craftsmen are now starting to use wood waste in the manufacture of furniture items. but sometimes furniture shops find it difficult to get the supply of wood waste they want. The development of this application uses the Rapid Application Development (RAD) method, while to improve the suitability of wood waste donations using the Profile Matching Algorithm. Tests carried out using the black box method and the results obtained indicate the system is running well. The conclusion from the results of this study has been successfully built an application that can help furniture stores in finding supplies of wood waste. Key words: Furniture, Donation, Wood Waste, RAD, Profile Matching Algorithm. Furnitur merupakan barang rumah tangga yang memiliki seni yang bernilai tinggi, furnitur bisa terbuat dari berbagai macam jenis kayu yang di gabungkan dengan barang lain bahkan ada beberapa furnitur yang tebuat dari limbah kayu. Penggunaan material limbah kayu pada saat ini sudah mulai banyak digunakan dalam perindustrian furnitur, hal ini merupakan sebuah proses dalam meminimalisir kayu yang bernilai jual mahal. Banyak dari para pengrajin kayu kini mulai memanfaatkan limbah kayu dalam pembuatan barang furnitur. tapi terkadang para toko furnitur kesulitan untuk mendapatkan pasokan limbah kayu yang mereka inginkan. Pengembangan aplikasi ini menggunakan metode Rapid Application Development (RAD), sedangkan untuk meningkatkan kesesuaian donasi limbah kayu menggunakan Algoritma Profile Matching. Pengujian yang dilakukan menggunakan metode black box dan hasil yang didapat menunjukkan sistem berjalan dengan baik. Kesimpulan dari hasil penelitian ini telah berhasil dibangun Aplikasi yang dapat membantu toko furnitur dalam mencari pasokan limbah kayu. Kata kunci: Furnitur, Donasi, Limbah Kayu, RAD, Algoritma Profile Matching.
