Abstract

The rapid increase in the number of motorized vehicles in Indonesia is a factor in traffic congestion. One of the causes of traffic jams is the slowing down of vehicles when making a u-turn at the median opening facility on the u-turn on Jalan Raya Lippo Karawaci. The aim of the research is to obtain an alternative u-turn that can reduce congestion on Jalan Raya Lippo Karawaci based on the 1997 MKJI guidelines. The method used is to observe vehicle volume, queue length, and delay time, which are processed based on MKJI 1997 standard and input them into the VISSIM application simulation. The research results show that the alternative is to shift the U-turn 300 meters to the north with a comparison of existing conditions, queue length, and delay times of 25.24 and 16.14 to the north, along with a vehicle speed of 33 km/hour to the north. After carrying out simulations with the three alternatives, the difference in queue length reached 10 meters and 4 seconds for delay time, and the vehicle speed become 50 km/hour with a level of service 'D'. Key word: U-Turn, VISSIM, Alternative Pesatnya peningkatan jumlah kendaraan bermotor di Indonesia menjadi salah satu faktor kemacetan lalu lintas. Penyebab kemacetan salah satunya adalah adanya perlambatan kendaraan pada saat melakukan u-turn pada fasilitas bukaan median pada u-turn Jalan Raya Lippo Karawaci. Tujuan penelitian untuk mendapatkan alternatif u-turn yang dapat mengurai kemacetan pada Jalan Raya Lippo Karawaci berdasarkan pedoman MKJI 1997. Metode yang dilakukan adalah dengan observasi volume kendaraan, Panjang antrian, dan waktu tundaan yang diolah menurut standar MKJI 1997, kemudian diinput pada simulasi aplikasi VISSIM. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa alternatif yang dilakukan adalah dengan dilakukan penggeseran u-turn U sejauh 300 meter ke arah utara dengan perbandingan pada kondisi eksisting, panjang antrian dan waktu tundaan sebesar 25,24 dan 16,14 ke arah utara, berikut dengan kecepatan kendaraan sebesar 33 km/jam ke arah utara. Setelah dilakukan simulasi dengan ketiga alternatif, selisih panjang antrian mencapai 10 meter dan 4 detik untuk waktu tundaan, serta kecepatan kendaraan menjadi 50 km/jam dengan tingkat pelayanan jalan bernilai D.
