Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran identitas diri remaja yang menikah dini. Identitas diri ini dijelaskan dalam lima aspek, yakni identitas fisik, identitas personal, identitas sosial, identitas keluarga dan identitas moral. Marcia mengembangkan teori Erikson ke dalam 4 kategori status identitas yang didasarkan pada tinggi dan rendahnya komitmen dan eksplorasi (krisis), yaitu identity diffusion, identity foreclosure, identity moratorium, dan identity achievement. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara dan observasi dengan keabsahan data triangulasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa umumnya setiap individu berada pada status identitas foreclosure, dimana umumnya mereka telah memiliki komitmen untuk menikah dini namun eksplorasi yang dilakukan belum terlalu jauh dalam beberapa aspek. Umumnya setiap subjek masih belum melakukan eksplorasi yang berarti pada personal identity dan moral-ethic identity. Kemudian, sebagian subjek ada yang belum melakukan eksplorasi yang berarti pada aspek familial identity. Dalam penelitian ini, ditemukan pentingnya pola asuh orangtua dan pentingnya bentuk dukungan sosial dalam mencapai identitas diri yang baik. Saran bagi remaja yang menikah muda untuk lebih mengembangkan diri pada berbagai aspek identitas agar dicapai identitas diri yang baik.The purpose of this research is to know about self identity image of adolescents who get married early. This self identity defined by five aspects, that is physical identity, personal identity, social identity, family identity, and moral identity. Marcia develop Erickson theory into four identity status category that base on high and low commitment and exploration (crisis), that is identity diffusion, identity foreclosure, identity moratorium, and identity achievement. This research used qualitative method with study case approach. The data collection method using interview and observation with triangulation data validity. The results of this research show that mostly each individu is foreclosure identity status, which was they already commited for early marriage but have not deep exploration yet in several aspect and mostly every subjects doesn’t have significant exploration on personal identity and moral identity also. Then, there are some of the subjects doesn’t have significant exploration on familial identity. In this research, has found out that how important parenting is and how important social support form to achieve a good self identity. Suggestion for a teenager who wants to get married early, to do self development in every identity aspect in order to achieve a good self identity.
