Abstract

Jam meja merupakan aksesoris yang ada pada ruangan meja kantor maupun di dalam ruangan rumah. Pada umumnya, fungsi jam meja yaitu memperindah ruangan meja kantor maupun ruangan di dalam rumah. Selain itu, produk-produk jam meja di pasaran sebagian besar memiliki desain yang monoton karena terpaku pada aturan dasar desain jam meja itu sendiri. Karya tugas akhir ini dirancang untuk memberikan inovasi dan unsur kebaruan terhadap produk jam meja di Indonesia dengan tujuan memberikan sebuah produk handmade yang fresh dan unik dengan konsep hewan asli indonesia melalui pendekatan estetik dari tampilan bentuk, material dan warna. Hasil dari perancangan karya ini adalah jam meja yang memiliki penunjuk waktu pada tampilan, bentuk dan material. Pada bagian material menunjukkan unsur kebaruan dengan menggunakan bahan baku yaitu bambu laminasi yang dapat menggantikan kayu sebagai bahan dasar utama dalam pembuatan furniture maupun handmade.Table Clock is an existing accessory on office desk space and indoors. In general, the desk clock function is to beautify the office desk room and the room in the house. In addition, desk clock products on the market mostly have a monotonous design because it is fixed on the basic rules of the table clock design itself. This final project work is designed to provide innovation and novelty elements to Indonesian counter clock products with the aim of providing a fresh and unique handmade product with original Indonesian animal concept through an aesthetic approach from the appearance of shapes, materials and colors. The result of the design of this work is a clock table that has a timepiece on the look, shape and material. In the material section shows the element of novelty by using raw materials of bamboo laminate that can replace wood as the main material in the manufacture of furniture and handmade
