Abstract

This research aims to determine the relationship between academic resilience and academic dishonesty among psychology faculty students at Mercubuana University, Jakarta. This research used a quantitative method with a correlation model, the sample was obtained using accidental sampling technique and there were 192 students as participants. Academic resilience was measured using the Academic Resilience Scale (ARS-30) by Simon Cassidy (2016). The Academic Dishonesty Scale (ADS) was developed by Iyer and Eastman (2008) from research concepts by McCabe & Trevino (1993; 1997). The analysis technique uses Pearson correlation. Obtained results with Sig. value (p) = 0.035 and r = -0.152. In conclusion, there is a significant relationship between academic resilience and academic dishonesty in students at the psychology faculty at Mercu Buana University in a negative direction, which means that the higher the academic resilience, the lower the academic dishonesty. On the other hand, the lower the academic resilience, the higher the academic dishonesty among students at the psychology faculty at Mercu Buana University. Keyword : resilience, academic resilience, academic dishonesty Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan resiliensi akademik dengan academic dishonesty pada mahasiswa fakultas psikologi universitas Mercubuana Jakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan model korelasi, sampel diperoleh menggunakan teknik accidental sampling dan mendapat partisipan sebanyak 192 mahasiswa. Resiliensi akademik diukur dengan menggunakan Academic Resilience Scale (ARS-30) oleh Simon Cassidy (2016). Academic Dishonesty Scale (ADS) yang dikembangkan oleh Iyer and Eastman (2008) dari konsep penelitian oleh McCabe & Trevino (1993; 1997). Teknik Analisa menggunakan korelasi pearson. Diperoleh hasil dengan nilai Sig. (p) = 0,035 dan r = -0,152. Kesimpulan, ada hubungan signifikan antara resiliensi akademik dengan academic dishonesty pada mahasiswa fakultas psikologi Universitas Mercu Buana dengan arah negatif yang berarti semakin tinggi resiliensi akademik maka semakin rendah academic dishonesty. Sebaliknya semakin rendah resiliensi akademik maka semakin tinggi academic dishonesty pada mahasiswa fakultas psikologi Universitas Mercu Buana.
