Abstract
Pendidikan karakter untuk anak usia dini telah menjadi pokok pemikiran pemerintah dalam membangun generasi muda yang berkualitas di Indonesia. Membentuk karakter anak yang disiplin, Polisi Sahabat Anak merupakan Program Kepolisian Sat Lantas menggunakan panggung boneka Semeru. Perancangan ini adalah menciptakan sebuah media pendidikan untuk anak dengan pendekatan permainan yang menyenangkan. Melalui riset awal terpilihlah boardgame sebagai solusi permasalahan ini. Metode penelitian yang dilakukan adalah melakukan wawancara dan focus group sebagai data kualitatif, mengumpulkan data kuantitatif melalui kuisioner, mengujikan beberapa jenis permainan. Metode perancangan melalui beberapa tahapan, mulai pentauan ide permainan, konsep permainan, penyusunan aturan main, sketsa desain, prototype boardgame yang diujikan, rough desain, comprehensive, sampai dengan final desain. Pendekatan materi pendidikan didasarkan pada kecerdasan visual spasial, linguistik, intrapersonal dan kinestetik anak. Boardgame berjudul ‘Lets Go Driving’ ini memilih konsep ‘Selamat sampai dirumah’. Setelah final desain boardgame dirancang, hasil posttest menunjukkan anak antusias dalam memainkan berbagai permainan seiring dengan kemampuan anak untuk mengingat, mengenal, serta berinteraksi dengan pengetahuan rambu lalu lintas.Character education for early childhood has become the main idea of government in building a qualified young generation in Indonesia. Shaping the character of a disciplined child, Police Sahabat Anak is a Sat Police Program Then using Semeru puppet stage. This design is to create an educational media for children with a fun game approach. Through initial research the boardgame was chosen as the solution to this problem. The research method is to conduct interview and focus group as qualitative data, collect quantitative data through questionnaire, test some kind of game. The design method is through several stages, starting to play game idea, game concept, arrangement of game rules, design sketch, prototype boardgame tested, rough design, comprehensive, up to final design. The educational material approach is based on visual intelligence of spatial, linguistic, intrapersonal and kinesthetic children. Boardgame titled 'Lets Go Driving' is choosing the concept of 'Congratulations to home'. After the final design of the boardgame is designed, posttest results show children are enthusiastic in playing various games along with the ability of children to remember, recognize, and interact with the knowledge of traffic signs.
