Abstract

The issue of the Family Court has become a much-discussed issue in the public sphere and has been reported in several media, both in print, electronic, and online media. This happened after the Constitutional Court held a hearing and gave a verdict on case number 29/PUU-XXI/2023 related to 169 q UU No. 7 Year 2017 about the minimum age limit for presidential candidates and vice presidential candidates. Detik.com and Kompas.com are listed as online media that are widely consumed by the public and are quite updated in reporting on the issue of the Family Court. Detik.com and Kompas.com have differences in packaging each news. Based on the above background, the purpose of this study is to answer the research question of how the comparison of news related to the issue of the family court occurred in Detik.com and Kompas.com. This research analyzes the news in online media and uses a qualitative approach with Robert N. Entman's framing analysis model. The paradigm in this research is a constructivist paradigm with the news analysis unit consisting of 4 news on Detik.com and 4 news on Kompas.com in the OctoberNovember 2023 time period. The result of this research is that in several news articles, there are similarities in estimating the problem or source of the problem (diagnose cause), namely the involvement of Anwar Usman as the chairman of the Constitutional Court in deciding cases is the main cause of the Family Court issue. Detik.com framed the news of the Family Court Issue by not positioning itself as a critical media. Meanwhile, Kompas.com shows a position as a media that is critical of the decision of the Constitutional Court number 29/PUU-XXI/2023. Keywords: Framing, Online Media, Family Court Isu Mahakamah Keluarga menjadi isu yang banyak dibicarakan diruang publik dan menjadi pemberitaan pada beberapa media, baik di media cetak, elektronik, maupun media online. Hal ini terjadi setelah Mahkamah Konstitusi menggelar sidang dan memberikan putusan pada gugatan perkara Nomor 29/PUU-XXI/2023 terkait Pasal 169 huruf q UU No 7 Tahun 2017 tentang batasan usia minimal calon presiden (capres) dan calon wakil presiden (cawapres). Detik.com dan Kompas.com tercatat menjadi media online yang banyak dikonsumsi oleh masyarakat dan cukup update dalam memberitakan isu Mahkamah Keluarga. Detik.com dan Kompas.com memiliki perbedaan dalam melakukan pengemasan pada setiap pemberitaannya. Berdasarkan latar belakang di atas, maka tujuan penelitian ini adalah menjawab pertanyaan penelitian mengenai bagaimana komparasi pemberitaaan terkait isu mahkamah keluarga terjadi di Detik.com dan Kompas.com. Penelitian ini menganalisis pemberitaan di media online dan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan analisis framing model Robert N. Entman Paradigma dalam penelitian ini adalah paradigma konstruktivis dengan unit analisis berita terdiri dari 4 berita di Detik.com dan 4 berita di Kompas.com pada periode waktu Oktober-November 2023. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah dalam beberapa berita terlihat kesamaan dalam memperkirakan masalah atau sumber masalah (diagnose cause) yaitu keterlibatan Anwar Usman selaku ketua Mahkamah Konstitusi dalam memutus perkara menjadi penyebab utama dari isu Mahkamah Keluarga terjadi. Detik.com membingkai pemberitaan Isu Mahkamah Keluarga dengan tidak memposisikan sebagai media yang kritis. Sedangkan Kompas.com menunjukan posisi sebagai media yang kritis terhadap keputusan Mahkamah Konstitusi Nomor 29/PUU-XXI/2023. Kata Kunci : Framing, Media Online, Mahkamah Keluarga
