Abstract

iv ABSTRAK Kapasitas luas gudang adalah salah satu permasalahan yang sedang dihadapi oleh PT Toyota Astra Motor yang merupakan agen tunggal pemegang merek Toyota di Indonesia. Beberapa project telah direncanakan untuk mengantisipasi penuhnya gudang akibat meningkatnya kebutuhan part. Satu upaya untuk dapat mempertahan konsumsi luas gudang yaitu merancang sistem delivery yang baru dimana barang dikirim dari supplier tidak melalui proses penerimaan dan penyimpanan digudang, melainkan langsung dikirim ke konsumen. Produk yang menjadi objek penelitian adalah oli. Dalam penelitian ini membahas tentang implementasi sistem delivery yang baru yang bertujuan untuk meminimalkan persediaan guna mengefisienkan kapasitas gudang. Data yang dievaluasi yaitu konsumsi luas gudang oli. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode PDCA, yaitu suatu metode pemecahan masalah yang terencana dengan baik dari awal perencanaan suatu pemecahan masalah hingga tahap implementasi. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa dengan menerapkan metode sistem delivery yang baru ini dapat meminimalkan penyimpanan/persediaan dan mengefisiensikan kapasitas gudang oli dimana kondisi sebelumnya oli yang diterima dari supplier diturunkan dan dimasukan ke dalam lokasi penyimpanan yang menyebabkan luas gudang semakin sempit. Warehouse Large capacity is one of problems faced by PT. Toyota Astra Motor, as solo agent of Toyota in Indonesia. Several projects had been planned for anticipation of warehouse over capacity due to increased demand. One way to overcome that problem is to design new delivery system which the part not passing through receiving and storage process in warehouse, but sent from vendor directly to the consumer. In this project, item to be observed is oil product. In this study, the implementation of a new delivery system to be discussed in purpose to minimize the capacity for efficient warehouse inventory. Data evaluated in this research is the consumption of oil warehouse area. This study use the PDCA (Improvement Process) method, a method of problem solving well-planned from the beginning of planning a solution to the problem until the implementation phase. The results of this study show that by applying this new delivery system can minimize the storag /warehouse inventory and streamline capacity oil where oil conditions previously received from suppliers lowered and inserted into a storage location that causes more narrow area of warehouse.
