Abstract
In Indonesia, there are six KAI Education and Training centers (pusdiklat) as a forum in the vision of developing KAI HR competencies, one of which is in the city of Bandung, namely the Ir. H. Djuanda education and training center which is located at Jl. Laswi No. 23, Kacapiring, Kec. Batununggal, Bandung City, West Java. KAI plans to carry out the initial stage of development of the KAI Corporate University complex which will be implemented in 2024. The scope of design is centered on the front area (yard) of the existing site, in the design of the KAI MICE building must pay attention to the technical guidelines for building design and other references, site analysis, concepts, architectural design, structures, utilities and interiors so that the discussion does not extend from the predetermined scope. According to the development vision of the KAI Corporate University master plan, they have one main theme "Trainquality", namely KAI Corporate University as an urban forest campus prioritizing innovation, professionalism and sustainability. In this design the author raises the theme of Biophilic Architecture, it is important to understand that biophilic design cannot be equated with adding vegetation to the room, in 2014 Terrapin Bright Green published "the 14 patterns of biophilic design - improving health and wellbeing in the built environment" as one of the references on biophilic design. Keyword : Mice Building, Biophilic Architecture, KAI Coporate University Di Indonesia, terdapat enam tempat pusat Pendidikan dan pelatihan (pusdiklat) KAI sebagai wadah dalam visi pengembangan kompetensi SDM KAI, salah satunya berada di Kota Bandung yaitu pusdiklat Ir. H. Djuanda yang beralamat di Jl. Laswi No. 23, Kacapiring, Kec. Batununggal, Kota Bandung, Jawa Barat. KAI berencana akan melakukan tahapan pembangunan tahap awal komplek KAI Corporate University yang akan dilaksanakan pada tahun 2024. Lingkup perancangan dipusatkan pada area depan (halaman) dari site eksisting, pada perancangan bangunan MICE KAI harus memperhatikan pedoman teknis perancangan bangunan dan referensi lainya, analisa tapak, konsep, perancangan arsitektur, struktur, utilitas dan interior sehingga pada pembahasanya tidak meluas dari ruang lingkup yang sudah ditentukan. Menurut visi pengembangan dari master plan KAI Corporate University, mereka mempunyai satu tema utama “Trainquality” yaitu KAI Corporate University sebagai urban forest campus mengedepankan inovasi, profesionalisme dan berkelanjutan. Pada perancangan ini penulis mengangkat tema Biophilic Architecture, Penting untuk dipahami bahwa desai biophilic tidak bisa disamakan dengan menambah vegetasi kedalam ruangan, pada tahun 2014 Terrapin Bright Green menerbitkan “the 14 pattern of biophilic design – improving health and wellbeing in the built environment” sebagai salah satu acuan tentang desain biophilic.
