Abstract

Quality of Service (QoS) is the ability of a network to provide better services for the traffic that passes through it, especially in terms of internet traffic which is discussed in this research. From the results of the data collection, the internet network QoS results were good. Referring to the importance of network service quality and the fact that definite measurements have not been made that can be used to measure how much service quality must be met, the main problem in this research is "How to analyze the performance of wireless LAN networks using the QoS method at PT. YOJI” The tool used in this research is Wireshark. Meanwhile, the method used is action research with a QoS monitoring system model. From the results of measuring QoS parameters consisting of throughput, delay and packet loss. Factors that can affect network QoS are attenuation, distortion, noise and bandwidth capacity. Keywords: WLAN (Wireless Local Area Network), QoS (Quality of Service), Throughput, Delay, and Packet Loss. Quality of Service (QoS) adalah kemampuan sebuah jaringan untuk menyediakan layanan yang lebih baik lagi bagi layanan lalu lintas yang melewatinya terutama dalam hal lalu lintas internet yang di bahas dalam penelitian ini. Dari hasil pengambilan data yang dilakukan bahwa QoS jaringan internet diperoleh hasil yang baik. Mengacu pada pentingnya kualitas layanan jaringan dan belum dilakukannya pengukuran yang pasti yang dapat di gunakan untuk mengukur seberapa besar kualitas layanan yang harus di penuhi, maka masalah pokok dalam penelitian ini adalah “Bagaimana menganalisa kinerja jaringan wireless LAN menggunakan metode QoS pada PT. YOJI” Alat yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Wireshark. Sedangkan metode yang digunakan adalah action research dengan model sistem monitoring QoS. Dari hasil pengukuran parameter QoS yang terdiri throughput, delay, dan packet loss. Faktor-faktor yang bisa mempengaruhi QoS jaringan adalah redaman, distorsi, noise dan kapasitas bandwidth. Kata Kunci : WLAN (Wireless Local Area Network), QoS (Quality of Service), Throughput, Delay, dan Packet Loss.
