Abstract

Indonesian is a country that has 70% water area compared to land area, Indonesia's vast sea area makes Indonesia a country that has enormous potential to utilize its waters as a source of renewable energy for society. The aim of this research is to verify the performance of a prototype heaving pontoon oscillating Wave Energy Converter (KEG) device based on the principle of forced vibration using spring constant values to obtain optimal spring energy values. The research was carried out using experimental tests on land and at Tanjung Pasir Beach, Tangerang, the lowest non-Planetary voltage was obtained at 1.6 Volts and the highest at 2.7 Volts. the voltage with Planetary is 15.1 Volts and the highest is 28.2 Volts. The lowest current without Planetary is 0.03 Amperes and the highest is 0.09 Amperes. The results of experiments at sea obtained the lowest voltage of 5.1 Volts and the highest of 26.9 Volts. The lowest current result is 1.98 Amperes and the highest is 6.7 Amperes. Keywords: KEG device; Heaving; Power Take Off (PTO); the principle of forced vibration; KEG device efficiency. Indonesia merupakan negara yang memiliki 70% wilayah perairan dibandingkan daratan, wilayah laut Indonesia yang luas membuat Indonesia menjadi negara yang mempunyai potensi yang sangat besar untuk memanfaatkan perairannya menjadi sumber energi terbarukan untuk masyarakat. Tujuan pada penelitian ini yaitu memverifikasi kinerja prototipe perangkat Konverter Energi Gelombang (KEG) osilasi heaving ponton berprinsip azas getaran paksa tak teredam menggunakan nilai konstanta pegas untuk mendapatkan nilai energi pegas yang optimal. Penelitian dilakukan dengan uji eksperimen di darat dan di Pantai Tanjung Pasir, Tangerang, diperoleh tegangan tanpa Planetary terendah sebesar 1,6 Volt dan tertinggi 2,7 Volt. tegangan dengan Planetary sebesar 15,1 Volt dan tertinggi 28,2 Volt. arus tanpa Planetary terendah sebesar 0,03 Ampere dan tertinggi 0,09 Ampere. Hasil Eksperimen di laut di peroleh Tegangan terendah sebesar 5,1 Volt dan tertinggi 26,9 Volt. Hasil arus terendah sebesar 1,98 Ampere dan tertinggi 6,7 Ampere.
