Abstract
PT XYZ is a manufacturing company that specializes in commercial vehicle suspension, chassis parts and the formation of various steel components. The increase in deliveries and NPD (New Project Development) for both 4-wheeled and 2-wheeled vehicles means that PT XYZ has to prepare more loading for the production process. Based on field observations, the highest machine capacity loading was on robot welding machine number 1 or a special machine for Spare Tire Hl Series parts which reached 1,307,664 seconds/138% in the average of the last 5 months. Meanwhile, the company's capacity/% efficiency standard is a maximum of 2 shifts/100%, so there is a GAP of more than 2 shifts/38% between actual and company standards each month. Therefore, to increase productivity, improvements need to be made. In this improvement, the method that will be used is the PDCA method. After analyzing the root of the problem that occurred, namely the machine factor with the problem of the process not being balanced between the auto welding and loading and unloading processes and the method factor with the root of the problem of the robot's steps being inefficient, then improvements were made by adding new jig and creating a new program so that it could be produced for the process. welding robot welding machine 1, which previously required a processing time of 42 seconds/pc, became 28 seconds/pc and increased productivity by 33%. Keywords : Productivity, PDCA, Loading, Capacity PT XYZ merupakan perusahaan manufaktur yang berspesialisasi dalam suspense kendaraan komersil, suku cadang chassis dan pembentukan berbagai komponen baja. Meningkatnya pengiriman serta NPD (New Project Development) baik roda 4 maupun roda 2 membuat PT XYZ harus lebih menyiapkan banyak loading untuk proses produksi. Berdasarkan observasi lapangan loading kapasitas mesin tertinggi berada pada mesin welding robot no 1 atau mesin khusus part Spare Tire Hl Series yang mencapai 1.307.664 detik/138% dalam rata-rata 5 bulan terakhir. Sedangkan standar capacity/% efficiency perusahaan adalah maksimal 2 shift/100% sehingga terjadi GAP lebih dari 2 shift/38% antara aktual dan standar perusahaan tiap bulannya. Oleh karena itu untuk meningkatkan produktivitas perlu dilakukan perbaikan. Dalam perbaikan kali ini metode yang akan digunakan adalah metode PDCA. Setelah dilakukan analisa akar masalah yang terjadi yaitu terdapat pada faktor machine dengan masalah proses tidak balance antara proses auto welding dan loading unloading dan faktor method dengan akar masalah langkah robot belum efisien kemudian dilakukan perbaikan dengan penambahan jig baru serta pembuatan program baru sehingga dapat dihasilkan untuk proses welding mesin welding robot 1 yang semula membutuhkan waktu proses 42 detik/pc menjadi 28 detik/pc serta peningkatan produktivitas sebesar 33%.
