Abstract
The distribution of electrical energy through a transmission system with a high voltage rating, such as 150 kV, is a crucial part of providing electricity to consumers. The use of high voltage ratings aims to reduce power losses in a lengthy transmission system. However, challenges arise during disturbances, potentially causing a significant increase in current and leading to equipment damage, fires, and explosions due to transmission equipment breakdown. Therefore, a reliable, selective, and sensitive protection system is needed to ensure the sustainability of the power system. This final project focuses on creating a simulation of protection coordination in a 150 kV feeder bay using DigSilent software. The steps involve establishing the PLN transmission network in the UPT Bandung area, calculating the settings for distance and simulating disturbances in the PLN UPT Bandung transmission network. The goal is to reduce disturbance occurrences and enhance the reliability of the power distribution system. Problem formulations include understanding the operation of the distance relay, calculating the setting values, analyzing the impact of distance relay settings on protection coordination, and assessing the compatibility of implementing distance relay settings in the DigSilent simulation with the functions and principles of a 150 kV transmission system. Within the scope of limitations, setting calculations are limited to the 150 kV network, with a focus on phase-phase disturbances, and simulations are conducted solely using DigSilent software. The testing results from the Study of Analysis of Distance Relay Setting in Cigereleng GIS Dayeuhkolot 150 kV at PT. PLN (Persero) indicate that the relay settings align with calculations. The deviation or error between the time settings and the actual relay operation during the "Check Test" ranges from -1% to 4%, while in the "Search Test," the deviation between impedance settings and the maximum limit of relay distance operation is between 0.3% and 0.6%. The simulation of the coordination of the Distance Relay in the Cigereleng GIS Dayeuhkolot bay displays appropriate relay working zones with the expected trip times. Consequently, this simulation is anticipated to optimize the protection function in the 150 kV transmission system. Keywords: Relay coordination, Distance Relay settings, DigSilent. Penyaluran energi listrik melalui sistem transmisi dengan rating tegangan tinggi, seperti 150 kV, merupakan bagian penting dalam penyediaan listrik untuk pelanggan. Penggunaan rating tegangan yang tinggi bertujuan untuk mengurangi rugi daya dalam sistem transmisi yang panjang. Namun, tantangan muncul saat terjadi gangguan, yang dapat menyebabkan kenaikan arus tinggi dan potensial kerusakan peralatan, kebakaran, serta ledakan pada lingkungan akibat breakdown peralatan transmisi. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan sistem proteksi yang andal, selektif, dan sensitif untuk menjaga keberlangsungan sistem tenaga listrik. Tugas Akhir ini fokus pada pembuatan simulasi koordinasi proteksi pada bay penghantar 150 kV menggunakan software DigSilent. Langkah-langkah melibatkan pembuatan jaringan transmisi PLN di area UPT Bandung, perhitungan setting relay distance, serta simulasi gangguan pada jaringan transmisi tersebut. Tujuannya adalah mengurangi angka gangguan dan meningkatkan kehandalan sistem penyaluran listrik. Rumusan masalah mencakup cara kerja relay distance, perhitungan nilai setting, pengaruh nilai setting terhadap koordinasi proteksi, dan kesesuaian penerapan setting relay distance pada simulasi DigSilent dengan fungsi dan kaidah proteksi sistem transmisi 150 kV. Dalam batasan masalah, perhitungan setting hanya dilakukan pada jaringan 150 kV, dengan pembahasan yang berfokus pada gangguan fasa-fasa, dan simulasi hanya dilakukan pada software DigSilent. Hasil pengujian dari Studi Analisis Perhitungan Setting Relay Distance pada Bay Cigereleng GIS Dayeuhkolot 150 kV di PT. PLN (Persero) menunjukkan bahwa nilai setting relay distance sesuai dengan perhitungan. Deviasi atau error antara setting waktu dengan waktu kerja relay pada uji "Check Test" sebesar -1% hingga 4%, sedangkan pada uji "Search Test" deviasi antara setting impedansi dengan batas maksimal relay distance bekerja sebesar 0,3% hingga 0,6%. Simulasi koordinasi Distance Relay pada bay Cigereleng GIS Dayeuhkolot menunjukkan zona-zona kerja relay yang sesuai, dengan waktu trip yang diharapkan. Dengan demikian, simulasi ini diharapkan dapat mengoptimalkan fungsi proteksi pada sistem transmisi 150 kV. Kata Kunci : Koordinasi relay, setting Distance Relay, DigSilent.
