Abstract

Keputusan untuk menjalani hidup membiara, pada jaman ini semakin dipandang sebagai bentuk kehidupan yang unik dan berbeda. Kehidupan membiara di dalam Gereja Katolik ditandai dengan pengikraran kaul ketaatan, kemiskinan dan ketaatan. Di saat manusia mengejar kemakmuran, kekayaan, kebebasan dan kenikmatan, hidup membiara menjanjikan hidup miskin, tidak mempunyai hak milik, hidup taat kepada Tuhan dan selibat untuk menemukan kebahagiaan melalui relasi dengan Tuhan lewat hidup doa sebagai self-transendence. Ketaatan biarawati diungkapkan dalam ketulusan mengikuti kehendak Tuhan yang nyata dalam kehendak pemimpin – komunitas yang memberikan arahan dan tugas demi pelayanan yang lebih baik dengan berbagai keputusan maupun kebijakan, maka seorang yang menjadi anggota wajib taat kepadanya. Namun demikian, biarawati memiliki kecemasan dalam menjalani dinamika hidupnya. Ketaatan memunculkan kontradiksi dan dilema antara eksistensi diri dan perutusan atau pekerjaan yang ditugaskan kepada mereka sehingga seorang biarawati meletakkan hidupnya dalam tangan Tuhan yang berkarya. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kecemasan akan peristiwa masa depan (intolerance of uncertainty) dan tingkat kepercayaan kepada Tuhan sebagai agen penyebab yang terlibat dalam kehidupan manusia (God Causal Agent) pada penghayatan kaul ketaatan. Partisipan pada penelitian ini sebanyak 100 Suster-Suster yang bernaung d idalam Kongregasi Santo Dominikus Indonesia. Metode penelitian dengan Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode kuantitatif non-eksperimen dengan kuisioner God Causal Agent yaitu Tuhan sebagai agen penyebab pada Suster-Suster Kongregasi Santo Dominikus Indonesia sebagai variable bebas dan Intolerance of Uncertainty yaitu rasa intoleransi akan ketidakpastian pada penghayatan kaul ketaatan Suster- Suster di Kongregasi Santo Dominikus sebagai variable terikat. Penelitian ini menggunakan uji statistik yaitu Rank Spearman. Hasil yang didapatkan dari proses pengujian ini adalah menunjukkan hasil bahwa korelasi antara variabel IU dengan variabel GCA memiliki nilai signifikansi sebesar 0.820 > 0.05, dengan demikian dapat dikatakan hubungan antara variabel IU dengan varabel GCA memiliki korelasi yang positif namun tidak signifikan yang dilakukan pada suster-suster di Kongregasi Santo Dominikus Indonesia. Penelitian selanjutnya disarankan untuk mengambil sampel lebih banyak lagi dan melakukan wawancara ataupun memberikan angket untuk memastikan fenomena yang terjadi sebelum dilakukan penelitian. Selain itu akan lebih baik jika peneliti melakukan kontrol terhadap jenis kelamin, masa pendidikan selama menjalani profesi sebagai biarawati. The decision to live a religious life is increasingly seen today as a unique and different form of life. Monastic life in the Catholic Church is characterized by vows of obedience, poverty and devotion. At a time when humans are pursuing prosperity, wealth, freedom and enjoyment, monastic life promises a life of poverty, no property rights, a life of obedience to God and celibacy to find happiness through a relationship with God through a life of prayer as self-transcendence. The obedience of nuns is expressed in sincerity in following God's will which is evident in the will of the community leaders who provide direction and tasks for better service with various decisions and policies, so a person who is a member is obliged to obey him. However, nuns have anxiety in living the dynamics of their lives. Obedience creates contradictions and dilemmas between self-existence and the mission or work assigned to them so that a nun places her life in the hands of God who works. This research was conducted to determine the relationship between anxiety about future events (intolerance of uncertainty) and the level of belief in God as a causal agent involved in human life (God Causal Agent) in the implementation of the vow of obedience. Participants in this research were 100 Sisters who took shelter within the Congregation of Saint Dominic Indonesia. Research method The method used in this research is a non-experimental quantitative method with the God Causal Agent questionnaire, namely God as the causal agent in the Sisters of the Congregation of Saint Dominic Indonesia as the independent variable and Intolerance of Uncertainty, namely the feeling of intolerance towards uncertainty in the implementation of the Sister's vow of obedience. -Sisters in the Congregation of Saint Dominic as the dependent variable. This research uses a statistical test, namely the Spearman Rank. The results obtained from this testing process show that the correlation between the IU variable and the GCA variable has a significance value of 0.820 > 0.05, thus it can be said that the relationship between the IU variable and the GCA variable has a positive but not significant correlation for the nuns. at the Congregation of Saint Dominic Indonesia. It is recommended that further research take more samples and conduct interviews or provide questionnaires to ascertain the phenomena that occurred before the research was carried out. Apart from that, it would be better if researchers controlled for gender and years of education during their profession as a nun.
