Abstract

The increasing need for Medium Density Fiberboard (MDF) products in Indonesia will open up opportunities for the MDF industry to continue to grow. In one of the MDF manufacturing industries, there are problems related to data on the average difference between sales and production capacity of 24.50% due to the use of machines that could be more optimal. This study uses the calculation of Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) to determine the Value of the effectiveness of production equipment before and after repair. Furthermore, this research uses the Maintenance Value Stream Mapping (MVSM) method to identify and analyze value streams in maintenance activities so that the cause of problems can be known with the help of fishbone diagrams. The results showed that the OEE value before the improvement was 62.55%, and after the improvement, it increased to 83.10%. After applying the MVSM method, there was an increase in Value Added Value for heavy treatment activities from 8.94% to 41.54% with a total lead time of 790 minutes, moderate treatment 17.22% to 18.82% with a total lead time of 761.881 minutes, and light maintenance from 29.35% to 30.89% with a total leadtime of 674,396 minutes. Peningkatan kebutuhan produk Medium Density Fiberboard (MDF) di Indonesia akan membuka peluang bagi industri MDF untuk terus berkembang. Pada salah satu industri manufaktur MDF terdapat permasalahan terkait data selisih rata-rata antara penjualan dan kapasitas produksi sebesar 24,50 % karena penggunaan mesin yang belum optimal. Penelitian ini menggunakan perhitungan Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) untuk menentukan nilai efektivitas peralatan produksi sebelum dan sesudah perbaikan. Selanjutnya penelitian ini menggunakan metode Maintenance Value Stream Mapping (MVSM) untuk mengidentifikasi dan menganalisis aliran nilai dalam kegiatan pemeliharaan sehingga dapat diketahui penyebab permasalahan terjadi dengan bantuan fishbone diagram. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai OEE sebelum perbaikan 62,55% dan setelah perbaikan meningkat menjadi 83,10%. Setelah menerapkan metode MVSM didapatkan kenaikan nilai Value Aadded untuk kegiatan perawatan Berat dari 8,94% menjadi 41,54% dengan leadtime total sebesar 790 menit, perawatan sedang 17,22% menjadi 18,82% dengan leadtime total sebesar 761,881 menit dan pemeliharaan ringan dari 29,35% menjadi 30,89% dengan leadtime total sebesar 674,396 menit
