Abstract

Iklim komunikasi penting dalam sebuah organisasi, karena dengan mengetahui iklim suatu organisasi kita dapat memahami lebih baik apa yang mendorong anggota organisasi untuk bersikap dengan cara-cara tertentu. Dengan hal itu, kendala-kendala iklim komunikasi organisasi di Badan Informasi Geospasial (BIG) masih sering ditemui karena adanya kesalahpahaman komunikasi antara pimpinan dan bawahan, maupun antar karyawan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana iklim komunikasi organisasi yang ada pada instansi Badan Informasi Geospasial (BIG). Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Dari 5 penilaian didalam dimensi iklim komunikasi seperti Dukungan; Pengambilan Keputusan yang Partisipatif; Kejujuran, Kepercayaan dan Kredibilitas; Keterbukaan dan Keterusterangan; dan Tujuan Kerja yang Tinggi dapat dikatakan di beberapa unit kerja antara pimpinan dan bawahan atau antar karyawan ketika dalam bekerja sudah menunjukkan informasi yang terbuka, mendorong dan memberi kepercayaan untuk sebuah tanggung jawab, terlebih dalam hal mengikutsertakan karyawan dalam pengambilan keputusan, sehingga mempengaruhi iklim komunikasi organisasi, ini terlihat dari bagaimana para karyawan atau anggota organisasi bersikap. Communication climate is important in an organization, because by knowing the climate of an organization we can better understand what drives organizational members to behave in certain ways. With this, obstacles to the organizational communication climate at the Geospatial Information Agency (BIG) are still often encountered due to misunderstandings in communication between leaders and subordinates, as well as between employees. The purpose of this research is to find out what the organizational communication climate is at the Geospatial Information Agency (BIG) agency. This research is descriptive qualitative research. The data collection methods used in this research are observation, interviews and documentation. Of the 5 assessments in the communication climate dimensions such as Support; Participatory Decision Making; Honesty, Trust and Credibility; Openness and Directness; and High Work Objectives can be said in several work units between leaders and subordinates or between employees when at work they have shown open information, encouraged and given confidence for a responsibility, especially in terms of involving employees in decision making, thus influencing the organizational communication climate , this can be seen from how employees or members of the organization behave.
