Abstract
ABSTRACT In this era of globalization competition, corporate or organizational progress is certainly supported by employee performance. Companies must be able to build and improve performance in their environment. Motivation can be a driver of employees in doing their work, motivation can also be the end result of the work they do. In addition to motivation, Giving incentives is one of the main things that must be considered by the company. This study to determine the effect of motivation and incentives on the performance of marketing employees of PT. Publisher Erlangga Mahameru Branch Jakarta-1. The purpose of this study to determine and analyze the influence of motivation and incentives on the performance of marketing employees of PT Penerbit Erlangga Branch Jakarta-1. This research was conducted using quantitative descriptive approach. The population in this research is all marketing employees of Jakarta-1 Branch at PT. Publisher Erlangga Mahameru during the period of 2017, as many as 145 people with a sample of 107 employees. The method of analysis used is multiple linier regression analysis method. Based on the result of data analysis, partially motivation variable not significant influence to performance variable although incentive variable have positive and significant influence to performance variable. simultaneously, motivation and incentive variables have a positive effect on employee performance variable. Keywords: Motivation, Incentive, Employee Performance ABSTRAK Pada era persaingan globalisasi seperti ini, kemajuan perusahaan atau organisasi tentunya didukung oleh kinerja karyawan. Perusahaan harus mampu membangun dan meningkatkan kinerja di dalam lingkungannya. Motivasi bisa menjadi pendorong karyawan dalam melakukan pekerjaannya, motivasi juga bisa menjadi hasil akhir dari pekerjaan yang mereka lakukan. Selain motivasi, Pemberian insentif merupakan salah satu hal pokok yang harus diperhatikan perusahaan. Penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh motivasi dan insentif terhadap kinerja karyawan pemasaran PT. Penerbit Erlangga Mahameru Cabang Jakarta-1. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis pengaruh motivasi dan insentif terhadap kinerja karyawan pemasaran PT Penerbit Erlangga Cabang Jakarta-1. Penelitian ini dilakukan menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh karyawan pemasaran Cabang Jakarta-1 pada PT. Penerbit Erlangga Mahameru selama periode tahun 2017, yaitu sebanyak 145 orang dengan sampel penelitian sebanyak 107 karyawan. Metode analisis yang digunakan adalah metode analisis regresi linier berganda. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, secara parsial variabel motivasi tidak signifikan pengaruhnya terhadap variabel kinerja meskipun variabel insentif berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap variabel kinerja. secara simultan, variabel motivasi dan insentif berpengaruh positif terhadap variabel kinerja karyawan. Kata Kunci: Motivasi, Insentif, Kinerja Karyawan
