Abstract

Most of region in Indonesia is an earthquake- vulnerable area. Therefore, the buildings in Indonesia must be built to have an earthquakes resistance. Along with technological developments in the design of earthquake-resistant buildings, an alternative design approach has been developed to reduce the risk of building damage due to earthquakes, and be able to maintain the integrity of structural and non-structural components against strong earthquakes. One of the concepts of the planning approach that has been used by many people is to use seismic isolation or base isolation. In this research, we want to know the advantages of isolated structural systems compared to conventional structural systems and in order to determine the most suitable base isolation for low rise building structures for residential houses in Indonesia. The analytical method used is by modeling 4 structural models consisting of 2 models of 1- story house structures both with conventional systems and isolated systems and 2 models of 3- storey houses both with conventional systems and isolated systems using ETABS 18.0.2 software and based on SNI 1726-2019. From the results of the study, the base shear force using an isolated system can be reduced upto 34.02% for the x-direction and 33.53% for the ydirection from the conventional system on the 1-story house structure model. Whereas for the 3-storey house structure model, the base shear force using the base isolation system can be reduced upto 45.81% for the x-direction and 42.03% for the y-direction from the conventional system. Keywords: Base Isolation, Residential House, SNI 1726-2019, Base Shear Force Sebagian besar wilayah Indonesia merupakan daerah yang rawan gempa. Karena itu, gedunggedung di Indonesia harus dibangun agar tahan gempa. Seiring dengan perkembangan teknologi dalam perencanaan bangunan tahan gempa, telah dikembangkan suatu pendekatan desain alternatif untuk mengurangi resiko kerusakan bangunan akibat gempa, dan mampu mempertahankan integritas komponen struktural dan non-struktural terhadap gempa kuat. Salah satu konsep pendekatan perencanaan yang telah digunakan banyak orang adalah dengan menggunakan isolasi seismik atau isolasi dasar. Pada penelitian ini ingin mengetahui keunggulan sistem struktur terisolasi dibandingkan dengan sistem struktur konvensional serta dalam rangka menentukan isolasi dasar yang paling cocok untuk struktur sederhana rumah tinggal di Indonesia. Metode analisis yang dipakai yaitu dengan dengan memodelkan 4 model struktur yang terdiri dari 2 model struktur rumah 1 lantai baik dengan sistem konvensional maupun sistem terisolasi dan 2 model struktur rumah 3 lantai baik dengan sistem konvensional maupun sistem terisolasi dengan menggunakan perangkat lunak ETABS 18.0.2 dan berdasarkan SNI 1726-2019. Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh gaya geser dasar menggunakan sistem terisolasi berkurang sebesar 34.02% untuk arah x dan 33.53% untuk arah y dari sistem konvensioanl pada model rumah 1 lantai. Sedangkan untuk model rumah 3 lantai, diperoleh gaya geser dasar menggunakan sistem isolasi dasar berkurang sebesar 45.81% untuk arah x dan 42.03% untuk arah y dari sistem konvensional.
