Abstract

Generasi Z dikenal sebagai iGeneration, generasi net atau generasi internet, Generasi Z memiliki pandangan bahwa dunia fisik dan maya tidak ada perbedaan yang realitas, Generasi Z menganggap dunia maya sama pentingnya dengan dunia nyata. Pada generasi ini sangat dipengaruhi oleh internet dan lebih suka menyendiri menghabiskan waktunya menggunakan smartphone sehingga menyebabkan perasaan cemas berlebih saat tidak didekat smartphone-- nya atau disebut juga Nomophobia. Teknik sampling yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu non-probably sampling, menggunakan metode accidental sampling, penentuan sampel menggunakan software G-Power 3.1, alat ukur nomophobia dengan NMP-Questionnaire serta loneliness menggunakan Ucla Version 3. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa,terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara loneliness dengan nomophobia pada Generasi Z di Jabodetabek dengan 158 responden dengan nilai koefisien korelasi sebesar 0.185 dengan interpretasi sangat rendah. Usia, pekerjaan, domisili, jumlah smartphone yang dimiliki, lokasi menggunakan smartphone, rutinitas memeriksa smartphone dalam sehari, total waktu penggunaan smartphone secara aktif dalam sehari, dan jumlah penggunaan kuota dalam sebulan dikaitkan dengan nomophobia dan loneliness hasilnya tidak ada perbedaan yang signifikan. Semakin bertambahnya umur Generasi Z yang memasuki dewasa awal lebih membutuhkan komunikasi, banyak relasi dan koneksi dibandingkan usia Generasi Z pada remaja hanya membutuhkkan komunikasi, mereka belum memikirkan pentingnya keluasan dari relasi. Apabila tingkat loneliness pada Generasi Z semakin tinggi maka tingkat nomophobia yang terjadi akan semakin tinggi. Kata Kunci: Generasi Z, smartphone, nomophobia dan loneliness. Generation Z is known as iGeneration, net generation or internet generation, Generation Z has the view that the physical and virtual worlds have no difference in reality, Generation Z considers the virtual world as important as the real world. This generation is highly influenced by the internet and prefers to be alone spending time using smartphones, causing feelings of excessive anxiety when not near their smartphones or also called Nomophobia. The sampling technique used in this study is non-probably sampling, using the accidental sampling method, determining the sample using G-Power 3.1 software, measuring nomophobia with the NMPQuestionnaire and loneliness using Ucla Version 3. The results showed that there is a significant relationship between loneliness and nomophobia in Generasi Z in Jabodetabek with 158 respondents with a correlation coefficient of 0.185 with a very low interpretation. Age, occupation, domicile, number of smartphones owned, location of using smartphones, routine of checking smartphones in a day, total time of active use of smartphones in a day, and the amount of quota usage in a month are associated with nomophobia and loneliness with no significant difference. The increasing age of Generation Z entering early adulthood requires more communication, many relationships and connections compared to the age of Generation Z in adolescence only requires communication, they have not yet been able to connect with others.
