Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran konsep diri pada remaja dari keluarga broken home. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah empat orang remaja yang mengalami broken home. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, dengan jenis penelitian fenomenologi. Alat pengambilan data dalam penelitian ini adalah wawancara dan catatan lapangan yang disusun berdasarkan pedoman wawancara. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa dari keempat subjek terdapat tiga subjek yang memiliki konsep diri negatif yang dicirikan dengan memiliki perasaan mudah terbawa perasaan, rendah diri, iri hati, sensitif dan ketidakyakinan terhadap kemampuan diri sendiri, pada satu subjek lainnya ditemukan memiliki konsep diri positif yang dicirikan dengan kemampuan subjek dalam mengenal diri sendiri dan mengarahkan diri untuk mencapai keinginannya. Pada subjek yang mengalami kekerasan fisik dari orang tua memiliki kecenderungan melakukan tindakan yang menyimpang seperti minum alkohol dan merokok. Kata kunci : Konsep diri, remaja, broken home. ABSTRACT This study aims to determine the picture of self-concept in adolescents from broken home families. The subjects in this study were four teenagers who experienced a broken home. This research uses a qualitative approach, with a phenomenological type of research. The data collection tools in this study were interviews and field notes compiled based on interview guidelines. The results of this study showed that of the four subjects there were three subjects who had a negative self-concept characterized by having feelings of being easily carried away, inferiority, envy, sensitivity and uncertainty of one's own abilities, in one other subject was found to have a positive self-concept characterized by the subject's ability to know oneself and direct oneself to achieve his desires. In subjects who experience physical violence from parents have a tendency to commit deviant acts such as drinking alcohol and smoking. Keywords: Self-concept, teenager, broken home.
