Abstract

For final semester students, the age range from 20 to 23 years is the entry into early adulthood. Students who are in their final semester from semester 8 to semester 12 often experience confusion about the career they will be pursuing. In preparing for a career, final year students must have a clear self-concept, abilities and potential. Self-concept is an individual's way of seeing their person as a whole, involving physical, emotional, intellectual, social and spiritual. This includes the individual's perception of their potential, related values, goals, hopes and desires. This study aims to determine the relationship between self-concept and career confusion in final semester students at Mercubuana University. This research uses a quantitative approach with a purposive sampling method with criteria that have been determined according to the research. With the number of subjects of 128 people. The results of this research are that there is a relationship between self-concept and career confusion in final year students at Mercubuana University, with a negative correlation, the higher the selfconcept, the lower the career confusion. Keywords: Career Confusion, final semester, self-concept Pada mahasiswa semester akhir yang jarak usia dari 20 hingga 23 tahun merupakan masuknya masa dewasa awal. Mahasiswa yang bersemester akhir dari semester 8 hingga semester 12 sering kalinya mengalami kebingungan karir yang akan di jalaninya. Dalam mempersiapkan karir, mahasiswa tingkat akhir harus memiliki konsep diri yang jelas, kemampuan, serta potensi. Konsep diri merupakan cara individu dalam melihat pribadinya secara utuh, menyangkut fisik, emosi, intelektual, sosial, serta spiritual. Termasuk didalamnya ialah persepsi individu tentang potensi yang dimiliki, nilai – nilai yang berkaitan, tujuan, harapan, serta keinginannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Hubungan konsep diri dengan kebingungan karir pada mahasiswa semester akhir Di universitas Mercubuana. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode purposive sampling dengan kriteria yang telah ditentukan sesuai dengan penelitian. Dengan jumlah subjek sebesar 128 orang. Hasil dari penelitian ini Terdapat hubungan antara konsep diri dengan kebingungan karir mahasiswa tingkat akhir di Universitas Mercubuana, dengan korelasi negative, semakin tinggi konsep diri maka semakin rendah kebingungan karirnya.
