Abstract

Kesehatan mental yang terjadi pada tokoh utama dalam film tersebut. Penelitian yang dilakukan oleh WHO dalam WHO World Mental Health International College Student project yang meneliti sembilan belas universitas di delapan negara ditemukan bahwa 35 persen mahasiswa seumur hidupnya mengalami setidaknya satu mental disorder DSM-IV yaitu anxiety, mood, atau substance disorder dimana dan 31,4 persen mengalaminya dalam rentang 12 bulan terakhir. Hal tersebut menjadi latar belakang mengapa film Dalam film pendek “Pulang” ini diproduksi. Pembuatan film pendek ini bertujuan untuk Membuat sebuah film pendek dengan tujuan untuk memberikan sudut pandang tentang penyakit mental dan tentang pentingnya mencintai diri sendiri dan juga untuk menyalurkan kemampuan penulis dalam pengambil sebuah gambar dan menyalurkan kreatifitas dalam film pendek “Pulang”. Dalam menjalankan publikasi film “PULANG” ini penulis mengandalkan media baru untuk menjadikan sarana publikasi atau promosi. Sosial Media merupakan salah satu media baru untuk publikasi atau mempromosikan film pendek ini. Sosial Media seperti Twitter, Facebook, dan Youtube akan menjadi media kami dalam menjalankan publikasi atas film ini. Dalam film pendek “Pulang” ini peran pengarah gambar sangat penting untuk menyampaikan pesan dalam bentuk visual, oleh karena itu penulis sangat bertanggung jawab atas pengambilan gambar yang sesuai dengan apa yang telah di susun, mulai dari pengambilan shot yang penting seperti Medium sampai Close Up. Peran pengarah gambar juga supaya film mampu menyampaikan dengan baik emosi yang diperankan oleh tokoh yang dikuatkan oleh ekspresi yang dihasilkan oleh tokoh tersebut dengan alur cerita yang telah dibuat. Berdasarkan proses pembuatan tugas akhir aplikatif dapat disimpulkan bahwa: (1) Pengarah Gambar merupakan salah satu bagian penting dalam pembuatan film pendek. Selain mengoperasikan kamera, Pengarah Gambar juga menentukan jenisjenis angle dan shot yang akan digunakan dengan berkoordinasi dengan sutradara; (2) Pengarah Gambar juga harus mempunyai pengetahuan dalam tata cahaya dengan tujuan menghasilkan gambar yang menarik dan tidak membosankan bagi penonton. Kata Kunci: Film Pendek, Gangguan Mental, Pengarah Gambar Mental health that occurs to the main character in the film. Research conducted by WHO in the WHO World Mental Health International College Student project which examined nineteen universities in eight countries found that 35 percent of students throughout their lives experienced at least one DSM-IV mental disorder, namely anxiety, mood, or substance disorder where and 31.4 percent experienced it in the last 12 months. This is the background why the short film "Pulang" was produced. The aim of making this short film is to make a short film with the aim of providing a point of view about mental illness and the importance of loving yourself and also to channel the writer's abilities in taking pictures and channeling creativity in the short film "Pulang". In carrying out the publication of the film "PULANG", the author relied on new media as a means of publication or promotion. Social Media is one of the new media for publishing or promoting this short film. Social media such as Twitter, Facebook and YouTube will be our media in carrying out the publication of this film. In the short film "Pulang" the role of the shooting director is very important to convey the message in visual form, therefore the writer is very responsible for taking pictures that are in accordance with what has been arranged, starting from taking important shots such as Medium to Close Up. The role of the picture director is also so that the film is able to convey well the emotions played by the characters which are strengthened by the expressions produced by the characters with the storyline that has been created. Based on the process of making an applicable final assignment, it can be concluded that: (1) Image directing is an important part in making a short film. Apart from operating the camera, the Image Director also determines the types of angles and shots that will be used in coordination with the director; (2) The image director must also have knowledge in lighting with the aim of producing images that are interesting and not boring for the audience.
