Abstract

This research aims to examine the influence of environmental performance, good corporate governance (GCG) as a proxy for institutional ownership and an independent board of commissioners on company value with profitability as an intervening variable. The phenomenon in this research is the decline in profits of consumer goods industry companies in 2018 - 2021 due to the Covid - 19 pandemic which is the cause of the decline in demand in this sector. The population in this research is consumer goods industry companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the period 2018 - 2021. The type of research used is quantitative research with testing using regression tests to test direct effects and Path Analysis tests to test indirect effects. The sample was determined using a purposive sampling technique, using the specified criteria, the number of samples obtained was 27 consumer good industry companies. The results of this research are that environmental performance has a positive effect on profitability, institutional ownership has no effect on profitability, independent board of commissioners has a positive effect on profitability, profitability has a positive effect on company value, environmental performance has a positive effect on company value, institutional ownership has no positive effect on value company, the independent board of commissioners has a positive effect on company value, profitability can mediate the influence of independent environmental performance on company value, profitability can mediate the influence of institutional ownership on company value, profitability can mediate the influence of the independent board of commissioners on company value.
