Abstract

Rework is a problem that cannot be separated from the construction world. Rework is one of the factors causing delays in work and increase costs in a construction project. This study examines the factors that cause rework which are based on design and document factors, managerial, resources, materials, quality, and site construction as well as to minimize rework. This study was designed by investigating effect of the independent variable on the dependent variable. The independent variables : design and documents (X1), management (X2), resources (X3), materials (X4), quality (X5) and site construction (X6), the dependent variable is cause of rework (Y). Questionnaires were distributed to 40 respondents at Apartemen The Pakubowono Menteng project. Data were tested for validation and reliability, after that the coefficient of determination and correlation pearson coefficient used to determine effect of the independent variable on the dependent variable. The ranking causes of rework at Apartemen The Pakubowono Menteng project is: ranking 1 contractor management making a wrong decision, (score 152) can be overcome by improving communication between construction workers, ranking 2 hectic schedule (score 150) can be overcome with a detailed work plan, ranking 3 wrong work procedure. (score 149), can be anticipated by training so that errors in work procedures can be overcome. Keywords: Design and documents, Management, resources, materials, quality, site construction, and cause of rework Rework merupakan suatu permasalahan yang tidak dapat dilepaskan dari dunia konstruksi. Rework menjadi salah satu faktor penyebab keterlambatan kerja serta kenaikan biaya pengerjaan dalam sebuah proyek konstruksi. Pada penelitian ini meneliti tentang faktor-faktor penyebab rework yang ditinjau berdasarkan faktor desain dan dokumen, manajerial, sumber daya, material, mutu, dan site construction serta upaya meminimalisir terjadi rework.. Penelitian ini dirancang dengan menyelidiki pengaruh variabel bebas terhadap variabel terikat. Variabel bebas terdiri dari : desain dan dokumen (X1), manajemen (X2), sumberdaya (X3), material (X4), mutu (X5) dan site contruction (X6), sedangkan variabel terikatnya adalah penyebab rework (Y). Kuesioner disebarkan kepada 40 responden di proyek Apartemen The Pakubowono Menteng. Data diuji dulu validasi dan reabilitasinya, setelah itu ditentukan koefisien determinasi dan korelasi Koefisien Pearson untuk menentukan pengaruh variabel bebas terhadap variabel terikat. Ranking penyebab rework pada proyek konstruksi Apartement The Pakubuwono Menteng adalah : ranking 1 dengan manajemen kontraktor salah mengambil keputusan, (nilai 152) dapat diatasi dengan meningkatkan komunikasi antar pekerja konstruksi, ranking 2 dengan jadwal yang terlalu padat (nilai 150) dapat diatasi dengan rencana pekerjaan terperinci, dan ranking 3 adalah salah prosedur kerja. (nilai 149), dapat diantisipasi dengan pelatihan-pelatihan sehingga dapat diatasi adanya kesalahan dalam prosedur kerja.
