Abstract

Worker safety is the main supporting factor in project implementation considering the large workload and the height of the structure to be built. In the EDGE Tower Project, several workers' hands were hit by hammers, irritated workers' skin, and workers were pierced by bendrat wire and others. The purpose of this research is to identify any safety risks that affect and how to control these risks. The analytical method used in this study is the probability x impact matrix based on PMBOK, sixth edition (2017) to obtain the results in the form of a risk rating. Based on the results of the risk value analysis process, it is known that 5 variables are classified as moderate risk and 13 variables are classified as low risk to worker safety. The highest rating is in the formwork installation category, namely the worker's hand is hit by a hammer with a risk value of 0.10, and the casting job category is irritation to the skin due to frequent direct contact with cement with a risk value of 0.09. The way to control this risk is to give direction to workers to be careful at all times, and to carry out periodic checks by the HSE (Head Safety Environment) Team.
