Abstract

This research is entitled "The Effect of Interpersonal Communication on Employee Performance at PT Astra Otoparts Tbk" with the aim of research to find out how much influence interpersonal communication has on employee performance that occurs at PT Astra Otoparts Tbk. Interpersonal communication is an important part of public relations activities that are closely related to performance. To maintain performance stability for the sake of the company, employees are expected to carry out interpersonal communication effectively in order to achieve company goals. The research method used in this study is to use a quantitative scientific approach method through surveys and use probability sampling techniques, namely simple random sampling. Based on the results of data analysis, the regression coefficient value of 0.710 shows that there is a significant partial effect of the interpersonal communication variable on employee performance, which means that the higher the value of interpersonal communication, the higher the value of employee performance positively. The correlation coefficient (R) value of 0.681 is used to calculate the coefficient of determination. The result of the coefficient of determination is 0.464 which means that the effect of interpersonal communication on employee performance at PT Astra Otoparts Tbk is 46.4% while the other 53.6% is influenced by other variables. Penelitian ini berjudul “Pengaruh Komunikasi Interpersonal Terhadap Kinerja Karyawan Di PT Astra Otoparts Tbk” dengan tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh komunikasi interpersonal terhadap kinerja karyawan yang terjadi di PT Astra Otoparts Tbk. Komunikasi interpersonal merupakan salah satu bagian penting dalam kegiatan public relations yang erat hubungannya dengan kinerja. Untuk menjaga kestabilan kinerja demi perusahaan, karyawan diharapkan dapat melakukan komunikasi interpersonal dengan efektif agar mencapai tujuan perusahaan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu menggunakan metode pendekatan ilmiah kuantitatif dengan melalui survei dan menggunakan teknik probability sampling yaitu simple random sampling. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, nilai koefisien regresi 0,710 menunjukan bahwa adanya pengaruh secara parsial yang signifikan dari variabel komunikasi interpersonal terhadap kinerja karyawan yang berarti semakin tinggi nilai komunikasi interpersonal maka semakin tinggi juga nilai kinerja karyawan secara positif. Nilai koefisien korelasi (R) sebesar 0,681 digunakan untuk menghitung nilai koefisien determinasi. Hasil koefisien determinasi yaitu 0,464 yang berarti pengaruh komunikasi interpersonal terhadap kinerja karyawan di PT Astra Otoparts Tbk sebesar 46,4% sedangkan 53,6% lainnya dipengaruhi oleh variabel lain.
