Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan antara self-esteem dengan self-presentation online pada cosplayer usia dewasa awal pengguna Instagram. Metode penelitian menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif. Sampel dalam penelitian iniberjumlah 167 cosplayer yang terdiri dari perempuan maupun laki- laki yang diambil dengan menggunakan teknik non probability sampling yaitu purposive sampling. Hasil analisis dari penelitian ini menggunakan analisa regresi sederhana yang menunjukan bahwa adanya hubungan yang signifikan antara self- esteem dengan self-presentation online cosplayer usia dewasa awal pengguna Instagram dan tingkat signifikansi sebesar 0,473 sehingga menunjukkan hubungan antar variabel dengan arah yang positif. Artinya jika individu dengan self-esteem positif maka juga memiliki self-presentation online yang positif. Kata kunci: Selera Humor, Koping yang berfokus pada masalah. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between self-esteem and online self-presentation among Instagram cosplayers. The research method uses quantitative research methods. The sample in this study was 167 cosplayers consisting of both women and men who were taken using a non-probability sampling technique, namely purposive sampling. The results of the analysis of this study used simple regression analysis which showed that there was a significant relationship between self-esteem and self-presentation online cosplayers of Instagram users and a significance level of 0,473 indicating a relationship between variables in a positive direction. This means that if individuals with high self-esteem then also have high self-presentation online. Keywords: Self-Esteem, Self-Presentation Online
