Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan konformitas dengan kecenderungan perilaku cyberbullying pada mahasiswa universitas x. Sikap ikutikutan kepada orang lain yang dilakukan secara berulang kali dan dari waktu ke waktu, seseorang dapat mempelajari berbagai hal termasuk keterlibatan dalam melakukan tindakan cyberbullying. Desain atau metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini, yaitu penelitian kuantitatif dengan tipe penelitian korelasional. Subjek pada penelitian ini, yaitu Mahasiswa Universitas X dengan populasi berjumlah 958 orang dan diambil sebanyak 100 orang sebagai sampel penelitian. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan pada penelitian ini, yaitu nonprobability sampling dengan jenis accidental sampling. Alat ukur pada penelitian ini ialah alat ukur konformitas diadaptasi dari “The Conformity Scale” yang disusun oleh Mehrabian & Stefl (1995) dan alat ukur cyberbullying diadaptasi dari “The Adolescent Cyber-Bullying Scale” yang disusun oleh Buelga, Postigo, MartinezFerrer & Cava (2020) berdasarkan klasifikasi Willard (2007). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang signifikan dan hubungan yang positif pada konformitas dan cyberbullying. Dengan kata lain, semakin tinggi konformitas yang dilakukan maka semakin tinggi pula perilaku cyberbullying yang ditunjukkan. Sebaliknya, semakin rendah konformitas yang dilakukan maka semakin rendah pula perilaku cyberbullying yang ditunjukkan. Kata Kunci: konformitas, cyberbullying Abstract This research aims to determine the relationship conformity and the tendency of cyberbullying behavior in x university students. An attitude of conformity that is carried out repeatedly and from time to time to other people, a person can learn various things including involvement in cyberbullying. This research used a quantitative research method with a correlational research type. Respondents in this research were students of the X University with a population of 958 people, and 100 people were taken as research samples. The sampling technique used in this research is namely non-probability sampling with type of accidental sampling. The scale used in this research is the conformity scale adapted from the measuring tool “The Conformity Scale” by Mehrabian & Stefl (1995) and the cyberbullying scale adapted from the measuring tool “The Adolescent Cyber-Bullying Scale” by Buelga, Postigo, Martinez-Ferrer & Cava (2020) based on Willard’s (2007) classification. The results of this research indicate that there was a significant and a positive relationship conformity and the tendency of cyberbullying behavior. It can be said that the higher of the conformity, also the higher the cyberbullying behavior shown. Conversely, the lower of the conformity, also the lower the cyberbullying behavior shown.
