Abstract
The denser an area, the higher the use of vehicle transportation, both private-owned vehicles and public-owned vehicles. Vehicle use has resulted in an increase in the need for parking facilities. In fulfilling parking needs, often the road body is the solution. The use of the road body as a parking lot has resulted in traffic congestion on existing roads. As happened in the trade center, Jalan Suniaraja Bandung. Data collection techniques in this study by conducting parking surveys and traffic surveys. Observations were made to observe the conditions around the research location to determine observation points for parking surveys and traffic surveys. Based on the results of the analysis, the available parking capacity does not meet the existing parking needs so the need for additional parking capacity is needed. The existence of road side activities (side barriers) such as parked or stopped vehicles, pedestrians, slow vehicles, in and out vehicles affect the level of service performance (Level Of Service). The level of service of this suniaraja road is worth E, this is a condition where roads are congested, speed is low, traffic volume is above capacity, long queues and large obstacles. So that efforts need to be put in place to improve the level of road performance, in the form of reducing side barriers or applying even odd systems. Semakin padat suatu daerah semakin tinggi penggunaan transportasi kendaraan baik kendaraan milik pribadi maupun kendaraan milik umum. Penggunaan kendaraan berdampak pada peningkatan kebutuhan akan fasilitas parkir. Dalam memenuhi kebutuhan parkir, sering kali badan jalan menjadi solusinya. Penggunaan badan jalan sebagai tempat parkir ini mengakibatkan kemacetan lalu lintas pada ruas jalan yang ada. Seperti yang terjadi di pusat perdagangan, Jalan Suniaraja Bandung. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini dengan cara melakukan survei perparkiran dan survei lalu lintas. Observasi dilakukan untuk mengamati kondisi sekitar lokasi penelitian guna menentukan titik-titik pengamatan untuk survei perparkiran dan survei lalu lintas. Berdasarkan hasil analisis, kapasitas parkir yang tersedia tidak memenuhi kebutuhan parkir yang ada sehingga perlunya penambahan kapasitas parkir. Adanya aktivitas samping jalan (hambatan samping) seperti kendaraan parkir atau berhenti, pejalan kaki, kendaraan lambat, kendaran keluar masuk ini mempengaruhi tingkat kinerja jalan (Level Of Service). Level Of Service jalan suniaraja ini bernilai E, ini kondisi dimana jalanan macet, kecepatan rendah, volume lalu lintas di atas kapasitas, antrian panjang dan hambatan besar. Sehingga perlu diberlakukan upaya untuk meningkatkan tingkat kinerja jalan, berupa pengurangan hambatan samping atau menerapkan sistem ganjil genap.
