Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of Profitability, Company Size and Leverage on Financial Distress (Z-Score) (Empirical Study of Manufacturing Companies in the Consumer Goods Industry Sector on the Indonesia Stock Exchange 2017 – 2021). The population used in this study are all consumer goods companies listed on the IDX for the 2017 – 2021 period, totaling 42 companies. The sample selection technique used purposive sampling and obtained a sample of 22 companies so that the total data for this study was 110 data. The analytical method used in this study is multiple linear regression analysis with Eviews software version 10.0. The results of the study show that Net Profit Margin has a negative and significant effect on financial distress in manufacturing companies in the consumer goods industry sector listed on the IDX in 2017-2021. Company size has a negative and significant effect on financial distress in listed manufacturing companies in the consumer goods industry sector. on the IDX in 2017-2021, and company leverage has a positive and significant effect on financial distress in manufacturing companies in the consumer goods industry sector listed on the IDX in 2017-2021. Keywords : Financial Distress, Profitability, Company Size, Leverage Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh Profitabilitas, Ukuran Perusahaan dan Leverage terhadap Financial Distress (Z-Score) (Studi Empiris Pada Perusahaan Manufaktur Sektor Industri Barang Konsumsi di Bursa Efek Indonesia Tahun 2017 – 2021). Populasi yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh perusahaan Barang Konsumsi yang terdaftar di BEI periode 2017 – 2021 yang berjumlah 42 perusahaan. Adapun teknik pemilihan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling dan diperoleh sampel sebanyak 22 perusahaan sehingga jumlah data penelitian ini sebanyak 110 data. Metode analisis yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah analisis regresi linier berganda dengan software Eviews versi 10.0. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Net Profit Margin memberikan pengaruh negatif dan signifikan terhadap financial distress pada perusahaan manufaktur sektor industri barang konsumsi yang terdaftar di BEI tahun 2017-2021, Ukuran Perusahaan memberikan pengaruh negatif dan signifikan terhadap financial distress pada perusahaan manufaktur sektor industri barang konsumsi yang terdaftar di BEI tahun 2017-2021, dan Leverage perusahaan memberikan pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap financial distress pada perusahaan manufaktur sektor industri barang konsumsi yang terdaftar di BEI tahun 2017-2021.
