Abstract

The high use of pier 6 and its supporting facilities such as cranes and conveyors with demolition tonnage in 2021 reaching 6,961,074 tons and a utilization rate of 35.5% from 17 piers makes pier 6 the mostdense dock owned by PT Krakatau Bandar Samudera. Pier 6 which is dedicated specifically for the unloading of cargo raw materials owned by PT Krakatau Posco whose cargo usage rate is very high causes pier 6 to have high performance and equipment availability. In the service process, PT KBS experienced several obstacles including the availability of conveyors below the target of 98%, the dominant problem that occurred was a damaged belt on the edge whose dominant root cause was the dumper adjuster was easily damaged and how to set the dumper was difficult so that with the cause of the problem the conveyor belt became side travel so that the belt rubbing against the conveyor construction and the belt becomes torn at the edges. To overcome this problem, researchers used lean maintenance approaches with the PDCA Cycle step, the resulting solution was to change the dumper management system from manual using a lever block to using a hydraulic actuator system. After the improvement, there was an increase in availability from 95.5%, increasing by 2.8% to 98.3%. So that there are no more complaints from management and from customers related to the availability conveyor. Keywords: Lean maintenance, PDCA, Availability, Port, Conveyor Tingginya pemakaian dermaga 6 serta fasilitas-fasilitas penunjangnya seperti crane dan conveyor dengan tonase pembongkaran pada tahun 2021 mencapai 6.961.074 tons serta tingkat utilisasinya 35,5 % dari 17 dermaga menjadikan dermaga 6 ini merupakan dermaga paling padat yang dimiliki oleh PT Krakatau Bandar Samudera. Dermaga 6 yang dedicated khusus untuk pembongkaran cargo raw material milik PT Krakatau Posco yang tingkat pemakaian cargonya sangat tinggi menyebabkan dermaga 6 harus memiliki Performance serta availability peralatan yang tinggi. Dalam proses pelayanannya PT KBS mengalami beberapa kendala diantaranya availability conveyor dibawah target 98%, masalah dominan yang terjadi adalah belt rusak pada bagian pinggir yang akar penyebab dominannya adalah adjuster dumper mudah rusak dan cara setting dumper sulit sehingga dengan penyebab masalah tersebut belt conveyor menjadi side travel sehingga belt bergesekan dengan konstruksi conveyor dan belt menjadi robek di bagian pinggirnya. Untuk mengatasi masalah ini, peneliti menggunakan pendekatan lean maintenance dengan langkah PDCA Cycle, solusi yang dihasilkan adalah mengubah sistem pengaturan dumper dari manual menggunakan lever block menjadi menggunakan sistem aktuator hidrolik. Setelah dilakukan perbaikan terjadi peningkatan availability dari 95,5% meningkat 2.8% menjadi 98.3%. Sehingga tidak ada lagi keluhan dari manajemen serta dari pelanggan terkait availability conveyor. Kata Kunci: Lean maintenance, Kaizen, PDCA, Availability, Pelabuhan, Conveyor
