Abstract
The development of an increasingly sophisticated era, makes libraries begin to be shifted and forgotten with the internet. Sources of reading books that are easily available on the internet make people reluctant to come to the library. Based on the 2016 study "The World's Most Literate Nations", Indonesia is ranked 60th out of 61 countries regarding interest in reading (Central Connecticut State, 2016). The new concept of the library is not only as an information center, but as a place of "task" to increase reading interest among teenagers. Boring libraries are a factor in declining interest in reading, because boredom can affect the psychological and health of users. The library room is minimal with plants to neutralize the boredom or stress of the users. The problem of the COVID-19 pandemic has also affected public interest. come to the public library seen from visitor data. Human tendencies are very happy if they get closer to nature where in this modern world nature is very important for human physical and mental health and well-being, it is necessary to apply the relationship between humans and nature in a library. Biophilic design itself is one of the designs that can translate the understanding of humans who are always interested in getting closer to natural systems. Interior design using descriptive qualitative method by collecting data in the form of observations (observations), documentation and literature studies. Keywords:. Library, New Concept Library, Biophilic Perkembangan zaman yang semakin canggih,membuat perpustakaan mulai tergeser dan terlupakan dengan adanya internet. Sumber buku bacaan yang mudah didapat dengan internet membuat orang enggan datang ke perpustakaan. Berdasarkan studi “The World’s Most Literate Nations” tahun 2016, Indonesia menduduki peringkat ke-60 dari 61 negara mengenai minat membaca (Central Connecticut State, 2016). Konsep baru perpustakaan tidak hanya sebagai pusat informasi, namun sebagai tempat “nugas” guna meningkatkan minat baca dikalangan remaja. Perpustakaan yang membosankan menjadi faktor minat baca menurun ,karna jenuh yang dapat mempengaruhi psikologis dan kesehatan pemustaka. Ruangan perpustakaan yang minim dengan tanaman sebagai penetral rasa jenuh atau stress para pemustaka. Permasalahan pandemi covid 19 juga mempengaruhi juga minat masyarakat. datang ke publik perpustakaan dilihat dari data pengunjung. Kecenderungan manusia sangatlah senang jika mendekatkan dirinya dengan alam dimana di dunia modern ini alam menjadi sangat penting bagi kesehatan dan kesejahteraan fisik dan mental manusia, perlu adanya penerapan hubungan antara manusia dengan alam pada sebuah perpustakaan. Biophilic design sendiri merupakan salah satu desain yang dapat menterjemahkan menerjemahkan pemahaman manusia yang selalu tertarik untuk mendekatkan diri dengan sistem alami. Perancagan interior menggunakan metode Metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan mengumpulkan data berupa pengamatan (observasi), dokumentasi serta studi litelatur. Kata Kunci:.
