Abstract
PT Eigerindo Multi Produk Industri (MPI) or better known as Eiger is currently viral, the keyword Eiger is one of the list of trending topics on social media Twitter. This happened because a Twitter user wrote his complaint about the objection letter he received from Eiger. This study aims to analyze positive, negative and neutral opinions regarding the contents of comments about the Eiger objection letter case on Twitter social media for the period January 28-29 2021. This type of research uses a quantitative method with a descriptive research type. The method used by researchers is quantitative content analysis. The results of the research and data analysis that has been carried out show that negative opinions are the most dominant opinion between positive opinions and neutral opinions. The negative opinion resulted in 56 comments, while the neutral opinion resulted in 33 comments, and the last positive opinion was the opinion that appeared the least in the comments column with 11 comments. Keywords: Public Relations, Public Opinion, Image, Twitter PT Eigerindo Multi Produk Industri (MPI) atau yang lebih dikenal dengan nama Eiger sedang viral, kata kunci Eiger menjadi salah satu diantara daftar trending topic di media sosial Twitter. Hal ini terjadi karena terdapat salah satu pengguna Twitter menuliskan keluh kesahnya terhadap surat keberatan yang ia terima dari Eiger. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis opini positif, negatif, dan netral mengenai isi komentar tentang kasus surat keberatan Eiger di media sosial Twitter periode 28-29 Januari 2021. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan tipe penelitian deskriptif. Metode yang digunakan peneliti adalah analisis isi kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian dan analisis data yang telah dilakukan, menunjukan bahwa opini negatif menjadi opini yang paling dominan diantara opini positif dan opini netral. Opini negatif memperoleh hasil sebanyak 56 komentar, sedangkan opini netral sebanyak 33 komentar, dan yang terakhir opini positif menjadi opini yang paling sedikit muncul di kolom komentar sebanyak 11 komentar.
