Abstract

The study aims to gain an understanding of the resilience of patients with Chronic Kidney Failure who undergo Hemodialysis treatment. Resilience is the process by which individuals are able to manage pressure or traumatic events, such as the death of a family member. Resilient individuals have the capacity to face obstacles and continue their lives in a better way than before. This research utilizes a qualitative research method with a case study approach, involving four participants. The results of the study indicate that all four participants exhibit resilience in a similar manner. Almost all subjects with Chronic Kidney Failure demonstrate efforts to cope with their illness due to internal and external factors. Internal factors stem from the subjects' beliefs and positive thoughts regarding Hemodialysis treatment, which can help them recover and prolong their life expectancy. External factors include support from family members and the support system. The study also addresses possible questions regarding patient mortality. Keywords: resilience, support system, family, hope for recovery Penelitian bertujuan untuk mendapatkan gambaran resiliensi pasien Gagal Ginjal Kronis yang perlu menjalani perawatan Hemodialisis. Resiliensi merupakan proses di mana individu mampu mengelola tekanan atau peristiwa traumatis, seperti misalnya peristiwa kematian anggota keluarga. Individu yang resilien memiliki kapasitas untuk menghadapi rintangan serta melanjutkan hidup mereka lebih baik dari sebelumnya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus, pada empat orang partisipan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keempat partisipan sebagai subjek menunjukkan adanya resilien dengan cara yang hampir sama. Hampir seluruh subjek penderita Gagal Ginjal Kronis menunjukkan upaya untuk menghadapi penyakitnya karena adanya faktor internal dan eksternal. Faktor internal berasal dari keyakinan dan pikiran positif subjek akan pengobatan Hemodialisis yang dapat membantu mereka untuk dapat sembuh dan memperpanjang harapan hidup mereka. Adapun faktor eksternal berupa dukungan dari orang-oran pertanyaan-pertanyaan yang mungkin ditanyakan seputar kematian pasien. Kata Kunci: resiliensi, support system, keluarga, harapan untuk sembuh.
