Abstract

Grahita's disability or commonly known as intellectual disability is a condition that has intelligence that is far below average and has limitations and incompetence in social communication. Mental disabilities are also often known as mentally retarded because of their limited intelligence. As a result, it is difficult for people with disabilities to attend regular (regular) schools. One of the social institutions that accommodates people with disabilities is the Bina Grahita Belaian Kasih Social Institution, which is located in West Jakarta. Existing mental disabilities are often difficult to regulate emotions and tend to commit violence against each other because it is difficult to control behavior. To solve this problem, we need a facility that has an interior that is continuous with the behavior of mental disabilities so that mental disabilities can support daily activities and increase their independence. Using the Human Behavior approach aims to support the process of learning, provide comfort, and safety for mentally disabled people to help them understand how to carry out daily activities independently. Keywords: Grahita Disability, Human Behavior, Social Institutions, Implementation.Keywords: Grahita Disability, Human Behavior, Social Institutions, Implementation Disabilitas Grahita atau biasa dikenal dengan disabiitas intelektual adalah suatu kondisi yang memiliki kecerdasan yang jauh di bawah rata-rata dan memiliki keterbatasan dan ketidak cakapan dalam komunikasi sosial. Disabilitas grahita juga sering dikenal dengan istilah terbelakang mental karena keterbatasan kecerdasannya. Akibatnya disabilitas grahita sukar untuk mengikuti pendidikan di sekolah biasa (reguler), salah satu panti sosial yang menampung disabiitas grahita adalah Panti Sosial Bina Grahita Belaian Kasih yang terletak di Jakarta Barat. Disabilitas grahita yang ada seringkali sulit untuk mengatur emosi dan cenderung melakukan kekerasan ke satu sama lain karena sulit dalam mengontrol prilaku. Untuk menyelesaikan masalah ini, diperlukan sebuah fasilitas yang memiliki interior yang berkesinambung dengan prilaku disabilitas grahita sehingga disabilitas grahita dapat menunjang aktivitas sehari-hari serta meningkatkan kemampuan kemandiriannya. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan Human Behavior bertujuan dapat mendukung proses dalam pembelajaran, memberikan kenyamanan, dan keamanan kepada disabilitas grahita untuk membantu mereka memahami bagaimana melakukan aktivitas sehari-hari secara mandiri.
