Abstract
Experience that involves many senses is very important in helping children develop physically and mentally. Children's interactions with their surrounding environment, both indoors and outdoors, are very helpful in providing multisensory experiences. Mutiara Harapan Islamic Preschool is an Islamic private school based on the Cambridge International School since 2012. However, the interior of this Preschool does not consider children's multisensory experiences, and elements such as color, shape, and furniture are also not well considered. The location for this design project is chosen in Bintaro, South Tangerang because it is a strategic and child-friendly area. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach using the theory of sensory design approach, which is about providing multisensory experiences packaged through design, aiming to fulfill children's multisensory experiences. The result of this design will produce an international Islamic Preschool in Bintaro, South Tangerang, which pays attention to interior elements that can produce multisensory experiences. Keywords: Multisensory, preschool, children. Pengalaman yang melibatkan banyak indra sangat penting untuk membantu anak berkembang secara fisik dan mental. Interaksi anak-anak dengan lingkungan sekitar mereka baik di dalam atau di luar ruangan sangat membantu dalam memberikan pengalaman multisensori. Mutiara Harapan Islamic Preschool merupakan sekolah swasta islam berbasis Sekolah Internasional Cambridge sejak tahun 2012. Namun pada interior Preschool ini tidak memperhatikan mengenai pengalaman multisensori anak, selain itu elemen warna, bentuk dan furnitur juga kurang diperhatikan dengan baik. Lokasi perancangan dipilih di Bintaro, Tangerang Selatan karena Kawasan ini merupakan Kawasan strategis dan ramah anak. Penelitian ini menggunakan kualitatif deskriptif dengan menggunakan teori pendekatan sensory design yaitu tentang memberikan pengalaman multisensori yang dikemas lewat desain. Bertujuan sebagai sarana pemenuhan pengalaman multisensori anak. Hasil dari perancangan ini akan menghasilkan sebuah Preschool islam internasional di Bintaro, Tangerang Selatan yang memperhatikan elemen interior yang dapat menghasilkan pengalaman multisensori.
