Abstract

This research is based on a phenomenon that occurs in adolescent students at Smk Pgri Larangan. Based on a survey conducted, there is an addictive behavior among adolescents in SMK Pgri Larangan, which is related to parenting styles. This study aims to determine the relationship between parenting styles and smartphone addiction in adolescents at SMK PGRI LARANGAN. This study uses a correlation design in which this design is to determine a relationship between variables, as well as to determine the height of a relationship with one another. And this study uses accidental sampling techniques, namely determining the sample based on chance that meets the characteristics of the study. The participants in this study were 155 students. In retrieving data using online questionnaires (google form). The results of this study are that there is a significant relationship between parenting styles with smartphone addiction, there is a significant relationship between Permissive parenting and Smartphone Addiction which is categorized as a strong correlation because it has a sig value. (2-tailed) is 0.000 and correlation coefficient is 0.580, there is no relationship between authoritarian parenting and Smartphone Addiction because it has value. Sig. (2-tailed) is 0.000 which is significant and the correlation coefficient value is -0.293 the correlation is very weak and negative, there is no relationship between authoritative parenting and smartphone addiction because the sig value (2-tailed) is 0.046 and the Correlation coefficient value is 0.160 . Keywords: Parenting Style, Smartphone Addictions Penelitian ini berdasarkan fenomena yang terjadi pada siswa remaja di SMK PGRI Larangan. Berdasarkan survei yang dilakukan adanya sebuah perilaku addiction pada remaja di smk pgri Larangan yang berhubungan dengan pola asuh orang tua. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara pola asuh orang tua dengan smartphone addiction pada remaja di SMK PGRI LARANGAN. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain korelasi yang mana desain ini untuk mengetahui suatu hubungan antar variabel, serta untuk mengetahui tingginya suatu hubungan satu dengan yang lainnya. Dan penelitian ini menggunakan teknik sampling aksidental yaitu menentukan sampel berdasarkan kebetulan yang memenuhi karakteristik penelitian. Partisipan pada penelitian ini berjumlah 155 siswa . Dalam pengambilan data menggunakan penyebaran kuesioner secara online (google form). Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah adanya hubungan yang signifikan antara pola asuh orang tua dengan smartphone addiction , adanya hubungan yang signifikan antara pola asuh Permissive dengan Smartphone Addiction yang berkatagori korelasi kuat karena memiliki nilai sig. (2-tailed) adalah 0,000 dan correlation coefficient 0,580, tidak adanya hubungan antara pola asuh authoritarian dengan Smartphone Addiction karena memiliki nilai. Sig. (2-tailed) adalah 0,000 yaitu bersignifikan dan nilai correlation coefficient yaitu -0,293 korelasi sangat lemah dan bersifat negatif, tidak adanya hubungan antara pola asuh authoritative dengan smartphone addiction karena nilai sig.(2-tailed) adalah 0,046 dan nilai Correlation coefficient 0,160 .
