Abstract
This study aims to determine the relationship between the intensity of the use of Instagram with body image in adolescents and early adults. This study uses a quantitative approach. The subjects of this study were 400 teenage and early adult respondents with an age range of 16-30 years. Data collection techniques using research instruments. The sampling technique in this study uses accidental sampling in which the respondent is obtained by chance and is suitable to be a source of data. The analytical method used is Pearson's Product Moment Correlation technique with the help of Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) version 24.0. From the results of the statistical analysis test the correlation coefficient is r (xy) -0.133 with a sig value of 0.008. Then it can be concluded that there is a negative relationship between the intensity of using Instagram with body image in adolescents and early adults. Keywords: intensity, instagram, body image Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara intensitas penggunaan instagram dengan body image pada remaja dan dewasa awal. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Subjek penelitian ini berjumlah 400 responden remaja dan dewasa awal dengan rentang usia 16 – 30 tahun. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan instrument penelitian. Teknik pengambilan sample dalam penelitian ini menggunakan accidental samplingyang dimana responden didapat secara kebetulan dan sesuai untuk menjadi sumber data. Metode analisis yang digunakan adalah teknik Correlation Product Moment Pearsondengan bantuan Statistical Package for Sosial Science (SPSS) versi 24.0. Dari hasil uji analisis statistik diperoleh nilai koefisien korelasi sebesar r(xy) -0,133 dengan nilai sig sebesar 0,008. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada hubungan negatif antara intensitas penggunaan instagram dengan body image pada remaja dan dewasa awal. Kata kunci : intensitas, instagram, body image
