Abstract
The incompatibility of horizontal education has become commonplace in Indonesia, at this time accompanied by the COVID-19 pandemic situation which has several kinds of impacts from various factors, one of which is the economic factor. The incompatibility of horizontal education is increasingly becoming a polemic, this makes every employee not willing to compete to get any job, even contrary to the final education that was previously achieved. This is irrespective of the burden for each employee, from the economic burden to the burden of adapting and learning a new type of job. Job crafting is a strategy that can be used by workers to stay or be involved in their work. This study aims to see whether psychological empowerment acts as a mediator of the relationship between employee welfare and job crafting for horizontal education mismatch workers in the Covid-19 pandemic era. The research design in this study was carried out by mediation using accidental sampling technique. The subjects of this study were workers who experienced horizontal educational mismatch. The mediation regression analysis in this study awaits PROCESS V3.5 Procedure for SPSS by Andrew F. Hayes. The results show that psychological empowerment has a role as a mediator in the relationship between employee welfare and job crafting, this shows the impact that psychological empowerment has on employee welfare and job crafting to have a relationship. This research is expected to be a reference for companies and workers about understanding and implementing psychological empowerment, employee welfare and work arrangement so as to improve good work quality. Horizontal education mismatch sudah menjadi hal yang lumrah di Indonesia, pada saat ini dibarengi dengan adanya situasi pandemi covid-19 yang memiliki beberapa macam dampak dari berbagai macam faktor, salah satunya adalah faktor ekonomi. Horizontal education mismatch semakin menjadi polemik, hal ini menjadikan setiap karyawan mau tidak mau berlomba lomba untuk mendapatkan pekerjaan apa saja, bahkan bersebrangan dengan pendidikan akhir yang sebelumnya ditempuh. Hal ini memunculkan beban tersendiri bagi setiap karyawan, mulai dari beban tuntutan ekonomi sampai kepada beban untuk beradaptasi dan mempelajari jenis pekerjaan baru. Job crafting merupakan salah satu strategi yang dapat digunakan oleh pekerja untuk tetap atau terlibat dalam pekerjaan mereka. Penelian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah psychological empowerment berperan sebagai mediator hubungan antara employee well-being dan job crafting pada pekerja horizontal education mismatch di era pandemi covid-19. Desain peneliti dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan mediasi menggunakan teknik accidental sampling. Subjek penelitian ini adalah para pekerja yang mengalami horizontal education mismatch. Analisa regresi mediasi dalam penelitian ini menungguankan PROCESS V3.5 Procedure for SPSS oleh Andrew F. Hayes. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa psychological empowerment memiliki peran sebagai mediator hubungan employee well-being dan job crafting, hal ini menunjukkan bahwa dampak dari psychological empowerment menjadikan employee well-being dan job crafting memiliki hubungan. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi acuan bagi perusahaan dan pekerja mengenai pentingnya memahami dan menerapkan psychological empowerment, employee well-being dan job crafting sehingga dapat meningkatkan kualitas kerja yang baik.
