Abstract

This research was conducted in 2020 when the Covid19 pandemic occurred in the world, including Indonesia, which had an impact on the work field dynamics. This new dynamics has also occured in the military. The presence of this dynamic stimulates researchers to question whether career competencies can perform as a mediator in the relationship between psychological empowerment and employee well-being. Psychological empowerment is an effort to increase motivation for every military soldier to become one of the factors that affect the welfare of soldiers (Employee well-being). Psychological empowerment is a positive psychological development that used by companies to empower workers in a psychological context so that workers are able to understand their competencies and improve their abilities. The same is true of the concept of career competencies. Where career competencies are also one of the factors that affect employee well-being towards military soldiers. The data in this study were taken from a sample of 230 Indonesian military soldiers in the presidential security forces (Paspampres). Using the mediation regression analysis technique model 4 v3.0 process owned by Andrew F. Hayes, and also performed an independent ttest and anova oneway analysis. The results showed that there was a relationship between the three research variables and career competencies mediator the relationship between psychological empowerment and employee well-being. Through career competencies variable, the relationship between psychological empowerment and employee well-being will increased the result, and from the additional analysis, shows that there is no difference result between one group and another. Keywords : Career Competencies, Psychological Empowerment, dan Employee Well-being Penelitian ini dilakukan di tahun 2020 di mana terjadi pandemi Covid19 di dunia, termasuk Indonesia, yang membawa dampak pada dinamika dunia kerja. Salah satunya dunia militer. Hadirnya dinamika tersebut menstimuli peneliti untuk mempertanyakan apakah career competencies dapat berperan sebagai mediator pada hubungan antara psychological empowerment dengan employee well-being. Psychological empowerment merupakan suatu upaya peningkatan motivasi pada setiap prajurit militer untuk menjadi salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi kesejahteraan prajurit (Employee well-being). Psychological empowerment sebagai perkembangan psikologi positif yang digunakan perusahan untuk memberdayakan pekerja dalam konteks psikologis sehingga para pekerja mampu memahami kompetensinya dan meningkatkan kemampuannya. Sama hal nya seperti konsep pada career competencies. Dimana career competencies juga sebagai salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi employee well-being terhadap prajurit militer. Data pada penelitian ini diambil dari sampel sebanyak 230 orang prajurit TNI pada satuan pasukan pengamanan presiden (Paspampres). Menggunakan tehnik analisis regresi mediasi model 4 v3.0 process milik Andrew F. Hayes, dan juga dilakukan analisa independent t-test dan anova oneway. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan antara ketiga variabel penelitian dan career competencies menjadi mediator hubungan Psychological empowerment dan employee well-being. Melalui variabel career competencies hubungan antara psychological empowerment dan employee well-being akan lebih besar nilainya, dan hasil analisa tambahan menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat perbedaan nilai antara satu kelompok dengan kelompok yang lain.
