Abstract
The terrace of the part of the house that welcomes guests comes, sometimes the impression captured by the guests can be carried up to the house. The terrace can also be on the side or back of the house as a sitting area, and of course the problem is related to the furniture in the terrace of the house. This underlies the designer to make a furniture product with classic and modern style by utilizing the burlap sack waste which is commonly used to bring the harvest into a terrace chair that has a new value. The process of designing a patio chair through a study frame of mind is divided into several sections. The study framework is concerned with the environment, systems and design elements. In the design system required supporting methods about the construction of camphor wood material and Burlap Waste into a chair. Keywords: Sustainable Design, Comfortable, Strong, Modern, Classic. Teras bagian rumah yang menyambut tamu-tamu datang, kadangkala kesan yang ditangkap oleh para tamu bisa terbawa hingga ke rumah. Teras juga bisa berada disamping atau belakang rumah sebagai area duduk, dan tentunya masalah tersebut berkaitan dengan furnitur yang ada diteras bagian rumah. Hal ini mendasari perancang untuk membuat sebuah produk furnitur dengan gaya classic dan modern dengan cara memanfaatkan limbah karung goni yang biasa digunakan untuk membawa hasil panen menjadi kursi teras yang mempunyai nilai baru. Proses perancangan kursi teras melalui kerangka berpikir studi yang terbagi dalam beberapa bagian. Kerangka berpikir studi berkaitan dengan lingkungan, sistem dan elemen desain. Dalam sistem perancangan diperlukan metode-metode pendukung tentang konstruksi material kayu kamper dan Limbah Goni menjadi sebuah kursi. Kata Kunci: Sustainable Design, Nyaman, Kuat, Modern, Classic
