Abstract

An earthquake is one of the most destructive disasters on a large scale and causing a lot of losses, an earthquake is also difficult to predict when and where it will occur. The impact of the earthquake, another problem arose, namely the occurrence of the phenomenon of liquefaction. Liquefaction is an event where the soil loses shear strength due to increased pore water pressure caused by a very fast cyclic loads (earthquake loads) in a short period of time. Important data in analyzing potential liquefaction is triaxial test which obtained from soil laboratory test. This test consists of three testing methods, there are Consolidated Drained (CD), Consolidated Undrained (CU), Unconsolidated Undrained (UU). Considering the difficulty of obtaining undisturbed samples from locations without freezing, triaxial test on sand soil begins with the sample preparation or sample reconstitution in the laboratory. In sample reconstitution, there are several methods that can be used,there are dry pluviation, wet pluviation, wet vibration, water vibration, wet tamping, and slurry deposition. Based on the results of the research, the index properties test is classified og the wet density test being 2.166 gr/cm3 , dry density 1.960 gr/cm3 , specific gravity 2.654 gr, and the distribution of grains, the Cu value (Coefficient of Uniformity) is 17.0469 and the Cc value (Curvature Coefficient) is 1.2264. Dry pluviation and moist tamping methods can be used for triaxial testing. The results of the triaxial test using sample reconstitution showed that the volume change in the sample was very small. The thing that affects the change in volume is the relative density of the soil, which is the higher the density of the soil, the smaller the change in volume. Keywords: Earthquakes, Liquefaction, Triaxial, Reconstitution Gempa bumi merupakan salah satu bencana yang sangat merusak dengan skala yang besar dan mengakibatkan kerugian yang tidak sedikit, gempa bumi juga sulit untuk diprediksi kapan dan dimana akan terjadi. Dampak dari gempa tersebut, timbul masalah lain yaitu terjadinya fenomena likuifaksi. Likuifaksi adalah peristiwa dimana tanah kehilangan kekuatan geser karena tekanan air pori meningkat yang disebabkan oleh beban siklik (beban gempa) sangat cepat dalam waktu yang singkat. Data yang penting dalam menganalisis potensi likuifaksi adalah data uji triaksial yang diperoleh dari uji laboratorium tanah. Pengujian ini terdiri dari tiga metode pengujian yaitu Consolidated Drained (CD), Consolidated Undrained (CU), Unconsolidated Undrained (UU). Mengingat sulitnya memperoleh sampel yang tak terganggu dari lokasi tanpa pembekuan, uji triaksial pada tanah pasir dimulai dengan pembuatan sampel atau rekonstitusi sampel di laboratorium. Dalam rekonstitusi sampel, ada beberapa metode yang dapat digunakan yaitu pluviasi kering, pluviasi basah, penggetaran basah, penggetaran air, tamping basah, dan pengendapan bubur. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian pengujian index properties masuk ke dalam golongan pasir dengan hasil pengujian berat isi basah 2.166 gr/cm3 , berat isi kering 1.960 gr/cm3 , berat jenis 2.654 gr, dan distribusi butiran didapat nilai Cu (koefisien keseragaman) sebesar 17.0469 serta nilai Cc (koefisien kelengkungan) sebesar 1.2264. Metode pluviasi kering dan tamping lembab dapat digunakan untuk pengujian triaksial. Hasil pengujian triaksial yang menggunakan rekonstitusi sampel menunjukkan bahwa perubahan volume pada sampel sangat kecil. Hal yang mempengaruhi perubahan volume yaitu kepadatan relatif tanah, dimana semakin tinggi kepadatan tanah maka semakin kecil perubahan volume.
