Abstract

On Jalan Raya Daan Mogot KM.14, Cengkareng, West Jakarta has a type of clay soil where the soil is very sensitive to changes in water content, in dry conditions have a high carrying capacity has a high carrying capacity while in a saturated state will have a low carrying capacity. This is characterized by road damage that occurs at the site when the rainy season arrives. One way to improve the ground ground of the site with soil stabilization method with the addition of chemicals. The chemical to be used for soil stabilization is fly ash. Fly ash can cause environmental and health problems, because fly ash is categorized as B3 waste because there is a content of metallic oxides that will pollute the environment. Utilizing fly ash is one of the treatments to reduce environmental problems. This study used fly ash as stabilization material, namely by adding fly ash with a mixture variation of 5%, 10%, 15% and 20% fly ash to the soil sample weight with a safe period of 1, 7, and 14 days. This test aims to find out the characteristics of the original soil, the CBR value of the original soil and the CBR value of the original soil mixed with fly ash. Research methods by conducting laboratory tests include Moisture Content, Density, Atterberg Boundaries, Shrinkage Limits, Sieve Analysis, Soil Compaction and CBR. Based on the results of the study showed that the soil originating from Jalan Raya Daan Mogot KM.14, Cengkareng, West Jakarta before mixing according to the AASHTO classification system of soil belongs to the group A-7-5 whereas, according to the USCS finegrained soil includes group OH i.e. organic clay soil with moderate to high plasticity. According to the table the USCS classification system belongs to a group with the symbol SC i.e. sand-clay mixture. The result of CBR value without soaking (unsoaked) of the original soil of 2.933% of the land belongs to the very poor group because the value of CBR ranges from 0% - 3% then it is necessary to improve the original soil with soil stabilization with variations in the rate and period of expansion. The results of the study of CBR value without soaking (unsoaked) with the addition of fly ash can increase the value of native soil CBR along with the addition of fly ash mix variation however, in variations of 15% and 20% decreased on day 7 to day 14 days. The maximum value occurs at a mixed varisi rate of 20% with a 7-day watering age with a CBR value without soaking of 17.835%. Keywords : CBR, fly ash, stabilization Pada Jalan Raya Daan Mogot KM.14, Cengkareng, Jakarta Barat memiliki jenis tanah lempung yang dimana tanah tersebut sangat sensitif terhadap perubahan kadar air, dalam keadaan kering memiliki daya dukung yang tinggi sedangkan dalam keadaan jenuh akan memiliki daya dukung yang rendah. Hal ini ditandai dengan kerusakan jalan yang terjadi di lokasi tersebut apabila musim penghujan tiba. Salah satu cara untuk memperbaiki tanah dasar lokasi tersebut dengan metode stabilisasi tanah dengan penambahan bahan kimiawi, yaitu fly ash. Fly ash ini dapat menimbulkan masalah lingkungan dan kesehatan, karena fly ash dikategorikan sebagai limbah B3 karena terdapat kandungan oksida logam beraat yang akan mencemari lingkungan. Memanfaatkan fly ash merupakan salah satu penanganan untuk mengurangi masalah lingkungan. Penelitian ini menggunakan fly ash sebagai bahan stabilisasi, yaitu dengan menambahkan fly ash dengan variasi campuran 5%, 10%, 15% dan 20% fly ash terhadap berat contoh tanah dengan masa pemeraman selama 1, 7, dan 14 hari. Pengujian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui karakteristik tanah asli, nilai CBR tanah asli dan nilai CBR tanah asli dicampur fly ash. Metode penelitian dengan melakukan pengujian laboratorium antara lain kadar air, berat jenis, batas-batas atterberg, batas susut, sieve analysis, pemadatan tanah dan CBR. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tanah yang berasal dari Jalan Raya Daan Mogot KM.14, Cengkareng, Jakarta Barat sebelum dilakukan pencampuran menurut sistem klasifikasi AASHTO tanah termasuk ke dalam kelompok A-7-5 sedangkan, menurut USCS tanah berbutir halus termasuk kelompok OH yaitu tanah lempung organik dengan plastisitas sedang sampai dengan tinggi. Menurut tabel sistem klasifikasi USCS termasuk kelompok dengan simbol SC yaitu pasir berlempung campuran pasir-lempung. Hasil nilai CBR tanpa rendaman (unsoaked) tanah asli sebesar 2,933% tanah tersebut termasuk golongan very poor karena nilai CBR berkisar antara 0% - 3% maka perlu dilakukan perbaikan tanah asli dengan stabilisasi tanah dengan variasi kadar dan masa pemeraman. Hasil penelitian nilai CBR tanpa rendaman (unsoaked) dengan penambahan fly ash dapat meningkatkan nilai CBR tanah asli seiring dengan penambahan variasi campuran fly ash namun, pada variasi 15% dan 20% mengalami penurunan pada hari 7 ke hari 14 hari. Nilai maksimum terjadi pada kadar varisi campuran 20% dengan umur pemeraman 7 hari dengan nilai CBR tanpa rendaman sebesar 17,835%. Kata kunci : CBR, fly ash, stabilisasi
