Abstract

Styrofoam is a polymer with the monomer styrene, a liquid hydrocarbon made commercially from petroleum. Styrofoam or foamed polystyrene (FPS) which is light and practical is included in the category of plastic types. Styrofoam is made from styrene monomer through polymerization at certain pressures and temperatures, polystyrene foam is produced from a mixture of 90-95% polystyrene and 5-10% certain gases. Which is where the increasing production of Styrofoam can pollute the surrounding environment. In an effort to reduce Styrofoam waste this waste can be used for added materials in the manufacture of laston. From the results of marshall testing using asphalt content of 4.5%, 5%, 5.5%, 6%, 6.5%, 7%, the optimum asphalt content (KAO) is 6.6%, from the results of marshall testing with KAO 6.6% with variations of cement bentonite as a substitute for portland cement with a variation of bentonite cement 25%: 75%, 50%: 50% and 75%: 25% to get the optimum concrete debris content of 50%: 50%. and the results of the marshall test using the optimum asphalt content of 6.6% and the optimum bentonite cement content of 50% in variations of 5%, 10% and 15% Styrofoam waste, the optimum styrofoam waste content is 10%, the IKS value is 98.05 % meet the requirements of the SNI provisions, namely >90%. Styrofoam merupakan sebuah polimer dengan monomer stirena, sebuah hidrokarbon cair yang dibuat secara komersial dari minyak bumi. Styrofoam atau foamed polystyrene (FPS) yang ringan dan praktis ini masuk dalam kategori jenis plastik. Styrofoam dibuat dari monomer stirena melalui polimerisasi pada tekanan dan suhu tertentu, Polistirena foam yang dihasilkan dari percampuran 90-95% polistirena dan 5-10% gas-gas tertentu. Yang dimana produksi Styrofoam yang semakin meningkat dapat mencemari lingkungan sekitar. Dalam upaya mengurangi limbah Styrofoam limbah ini dapat di gunakan untuk bahan tambah dalam pembuatan laston. Dari hasil pengujian marshall menggunakan kadar aspal 4.5% , 5% , 5.5% , 6% , 6.5% , 7% didapatkan kadar aspal optimum (KAO) sebesar 6,6%, dari hasil pengujian marshall dengan KAO 6,6% dengan variasi semen bentonit sebagai pengganti semen portland dengan variasi semen bentonit 25% : 75%, 50% : 50% dan 75% : 25% di dapatkan kadar puing beton optimum sebesar 50% : 50%. dan hasil pengujian marshall dengan menggunakan kadar aspal optimum 6,6% dan kadar semen bentonite optimum sebesar 50 % pada variasi limbah Styrofoam 5%, 10% dan 15% di dapatkan kadar limbah styrofoam optimum sebesar 10 %, di dapatkan nilai IKS 98,05% memenuhi syarat ketentuan SNI yaitu sebesar >90%.
