Abstract
Entering the years after World War II ended, many films appeared that told about World War II, with the German language translated as the culprit of the damage that hit the world, especially Europe, as a guardrail against fascist and Nazi ideology, but there were also many in films which tells how the greatness of Hitler became a great leader in Germany and the superiority of the Nazis to the world. The purpose of this research is to find out the reactions and interpretations of young audiences towards NAZI propaganda from the movie "Inglorious Basterds" as a whole and how it affects and impacts the formation of world media propaganda. In this study, researchers used a qualitative approach with the method used was reception analysis. This method was chosen by the researcher because the researcher wanted to analyze the individual interpretations of the selected informants. Some of the data that will be collected later includes words, pictures, and the results of interview discussions. This research was initiated by a very indepth and detailed research on the film "Inglorious Basterds", to see the views of NAZI propaganda through the interpretation of informants from the film. From the results of the research conducted by the researcher, it can be concluded that the informants were able to properly interpret the messages of NAZI propaganda in the film 'Inglorious Basterds' and the propaganda in the film 'Inglorious Basterds' could be easily understood by the informants and left an impression that greatly impacted the informants. The message from the film 'Inglorious Basterds' which has been well interpreted and provides an illustration of propaganda that was carried out in ancient times. The contents of the film can be studied and become a lesson that there is no need for world conflict anymore because the world will be better off without a war. Memasuki tahun setelah Perang Dunia II berakhir, banyak bermunculan film yang menceritakan tentang Perang Dunia II, dengan Jerman digambarkan sebagai biang keladi kerusakan yang melanda dunia khususnya Eropa, sebagai pagar pembatas terhadap fasis dan ideologi Nazi, salah satunya film “Inglorious Basterds”. Tujuan riset ini adalah untuk mengetahui reaksi dan interpretasi khalayak muda terhadap propaganda NAZI dalam film “Inglorious Basterds” secara keseluruhan dan bagaimana efek dan dampaknya ke dalam pembentukan propaganda dunia media. Pada penelitian ini, peneliti menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode yang digunakan adalah analisis resepsi. Metode ini dipilih oleh peneliti karena peneliti ingin menganalisa interpretasi individu-individu dari narasumber yang sudah terpilih. Beberapa data yang akan dikumpulkan nantinya ialah berupa kata-kata, gambar dan hasil diskusi wawancara. Penelitian ini diawali oleh research yang sangat mendalam dan mendetail pada film “Inglorious Basterds”, untuk melihat pandangan propaganda NAZI melalui interpretasi para informan dari film tersebut. Dari hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan oleh peneliti, dapat disimpulkan bahwa Informan dapat menginterpretasikan pesan propaganda NAZI dalam film ‘Inglorious Basterds’ dengan baik serta propaganda dalam film ‘Inglorious Basterds’ bisa dipahami dengan mudah oleh para informan dan meninggalkan kesan sangat berdampak pada para informan. Pesan dari film ‘Inglorious Basterds’ yang telah diinterpretasikan dengan baik dan juga memberikan gambaran untuk propaganda yang sudah dilaksanakan pada zaman dahulu. Isi konten film bisa dipelajari dan menjadi sebuah Pelajaran bahwa tidak perlu ada konflik dunia lagi karena dunia akan lebih baik lagi tanpa adanya sebuah perang.
