Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between emotional intelligence and independence with learning agility among workers studying psychology at the University of Mercu Buana Jakarta. The respondents of this study were 104 workers who were actively studying and were selected by random sampling. This research instrument uses a measuring tool of adaptation and modification results with a total of 20 items for emotional intelligence (Goleman, 2009) with Cronbach's Alpha 0.748 and 33 items for independence (Sternberg, 1999) with Cronbach's Alpha 0.738 and 33 items for learning agility (De Meuse, 2015) with Cronbach's Alpha 0.747. Data analysis used the mean (mean), standard deviation, and Pearson Correlation Product Moment correlation techniques and multiple correlation using Emotional Intelligence, Independence as predictors and Learning agility bound variables. The results of this study indicate (1) there is a positive and significant relationship between emotional intelligence and learning agility (r = 0.676: p = 0.000). (2) there is a positive and significant relationship between independence and learning agility (r = 0.706: p = 0.000). (3) there is a positive and significant relationship between emotional intelligence and independence with learning agility, with Fcount of 89.408, while Ftable with N = 104 at the 5% significance level of 3.08. So Fcount is greater than Ftable (89.408 > 3.08). This means that the higher the emotional intelligence and independence of workers who are studying psychology, the higher their learning agility will be. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kecerdasan emosional dan kemandirian dengan learning agility pada pekerja yang sedang berkuliah jurusan psikologi di Universitas Mercu Buana Jakarta. Responden penelitian ini sebanyak 104 pekerja yang sedang berkuliah secara aktif yang terpilih secara random sampling. Instrumen penelitian ini menggunakan alat ukur hasil adaptasi dan modifikasi dengan total 20 item untuk kecerdasan emosional (Goleman, 2009) dengan Cronbach’s Alpha 0,748 dan 33 item untuk kemandirian (Sternberg, 1999) dengan Cronbach’s Alpha 0,738 serta 33 item untuk learning agility (De Meuse, 2015) dengan Cronbach’s Alpha 0,747. Analisis data memakai nilai rata-rata (mean), standar deviasi, dan teknik korelasi Pearson Correlation Product Moment dan korelasi berganda dengan menggunakan variabel Kecerdasan Emosional, Kemandirian sebagai prediktor dan variabel ter ikat Learning agility. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan (1) ada hubungan positif dan signifikan antara kecerdasan emosional dengan learning agility (r = 0,676 : p = 0,000). (2) ada hubungan positif dan signifikan antara kemandirian dengan learning agility ( r = 0,706 : p = 0,000 ). (3) ada hubungan positif dan signifikan antara kecerdasan emosional dan kemandirian dengan learning agility, dengan Fhitung sebesar 89,408, sedangkan Ftabel dengan N=104 pada taraf signifikansi 5% sebesar 3,08. Jadi Fhitung lebih besar dari Ftabel (89,408 > 3,08). Artinya semakin tinggi kecerdasan emosional dan kemandirian pekerja yang sedang berkuliah jurusan psikologi, semakin tinggi juga learning agility dalam dirinya.
