Abstract
This study aims to determine the relationship between the two mindsets, namely the growth mindset and the fixed mindset and teacher well-being in honorary kindergarten teachers in West Jakarta. This study used a correlational quantitative design involving 180 honorary kindergarten teacher respondents in West Jakarta obtained through a convenience sampling technique. The measurement tools used for both variables are the mindset scale from Carol S. Dweck (2006) and the teacher welfare scale from Rebecca J. Collie (2014) which have been adapted into Indonesian. The test results show that both scales are declared valid and reliable. Data were analyzed using spearman correlation points. The results of this study prove that there is a positive relationship between fixed mindset variables and teacher welfare variables with a score (r = 0.344). However, this study also found a negative relationship between the growth mindset variable and the teacher well-being variable of (r = -.717) for honorary kindergarten teachers. Demographic factors related to teaching level and teacher status provide a significant difference in the mindset variable with the growth dimension. Meanwhile, demographic factors related to recent education and employment status provide a significant difference in the variable welfare of honorary kindergarten teachers in West Jakarta. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kedua mindset yaitu mindset growth dan mindset fixed dengan teacher well-being pada guru taman kanak-kanak honorer di Jakarta Barat. Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan desain kuantitatif korelasional yang melibatkan 180 responden guru taman kanak-kanak honorer di Jakarta Barat yang diperoleh melalui teknik convenience sampling. Alat ukur yang digunakan untuk kedua variabel adalah mindset scale dari Carol S. Dweck (2006) dan teacher well-being scale dari Rebecca J. Collie (2014) yang telah diadaptasi kedalam Bahasa Indonesia. Hasil uji coba menunjukkan bahwa kedua skala dinyatakan valid dan reliabel. Data dianalisis menggunakan teknik korelasi spearman. Hasil dari penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang positif antara variabel mindset fixed dengan variabel teacher well-being dengan skor (r = .344). Namun pada penelitian ini juga menemukan hubungan yang negatif antara variabel mindset growth dengan variabel teacher well-being sebesar (r = .717) pada guru taman kanak-kanak honorer. Faktor demografi terkait level mengajar dan status guru memberikan perbedaan yang signifikan pada variabel mindset dengan dimensi growth. Sedangkan faktor demografi terkait pendidikan terakhir dan status kepegawaian memberikan perbedaan yang signifikan pada variabel teacher well-being guru taman kanak-kanak honorer di Jakarta Barat.
