Abstract

This research discusses the effect of political connections and family ownership on the disclosure quality of CSR report to see the extent of government and family involvement in influencing CSR commitment. This study uses the composition of the board commissioners and market orientation as moderators. This study uses a sample of 29 high profile companies in the period 2018 and 2019 that have family ownership and publish CSR reports both separately or integrated with the annual report. The year 2018 was chosen because the GRI indicator used valid as of 2018 and as the initial year the implementation of PJOK 51/ POJK.03/2017. The results showed that political connections and family ownership had no significant effect on the disclosure quality of CSR report. Only export market orientation is proven able to moderate the effect of political connections on the disclosure quality of CSR report. Keywords: disclosure quality, political connection, family ownership Tujuan penelitian ini menguji pengaruh koneksi politik dan kepemilikan keluarga terhadap kualitas pengungkapan CSR untuk melihat sejauh mana keterlibatan pemerintah dan keluarga dalam mempengaruhi komitmen CSR. Penelitian menggunakan komposisi dewan komisaris dan orientasi pasar sebagai pemoderasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan sampel dari 29 perusahaan high profile dalam rentang waktu 2018 dan 2019 yang memiliki kepemilikan saham keluarga dan menerbitkan laporan CSR baik terpisah maupun terintegrasi dengan laporan tahunan. Tahun 2018 dipilih karena indicator GRI yang digunakan adalah GRI Standards yang berlaku per tahun 2018 serta sebagai tahun awal diberlakukannya PJOK 51/ POJK.03/2017. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa koneksi politik dan kepemilikan keluarga tidak berpengaruh siginifikan terhadap kualitas pengungkapan laporan CSR. Namun pengungkapan yang dilakukan masih cenderung rendah (31%). Selain itu, hanya orientasi pasar ekspor yang terbukti mampu memoderasi pengaruh koneksi politik terhadap kualitas pengungkapan CSR. Kontribusi penelitian ini adalah sebagai sumber informasi bagi para stakeholders agar dapat melihat keseriusan perusahaan dalam menanggapi isu sustainable development dan dapat dijadikan sebagai bahan pertimbangan untuk keputusan pemakaian produk.
